The ARK Villa - Mountain Views & Swimming Pool

Property is well maintained and had everything we needed after a long day at the lake. The home is in a neighborhood but feels so private and tucked away.

The house is nice. Pool is great for the kids. I would stay again.

From the macro perspective, great. Beautiful decks and pool, awesome master suite, nice location. Micro details though need attention. First, we were surprised to have no Kurig coffee maker (yet Kurig coffee pods were set out for our arrival). Calling the manager we found out the previous guests apparently broke the Kurig, and they made it right by sending over a person to get one out of storage for us to use. So kudos for that! Next surprise, no ice! Icemaker was not functional, and though there were ice cube trays, none was made. So no arrival cocktail on the deck. Next surprise, the pool furniture (and I use that term loosely) was either full broken and lying flat on the concrete (as in one lounger), or partially broken (as in the other lounger), or so uncomfortable that sitting on the concrete on the edge of the pool was much more pleasant than sitting in the various chairs with essentially no cushion, making it feel like sitting directly on those plastic straps. The bar stools in the kitchen were cool looking, but also very uncomfortable to sit in, so no one sat at the bar. The white shag carpet probably looked great new, but now it just shows lots of dark stains. And we took pictures of the not quite cleaned kitchen floor when we arrived. But overall we enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying here again in the future if these relatively minor issues were addressed.

Our family of 6 adults and one baby LOVED our stay. The house was clean, spacious and perfect for our needs. The pool was a hit, the location was quiet and the views were stunning. We stayed for a week hope to make this a yearly tradition!

We rented this home for our weekend in Redding. The home is amazing, the setting is at the end of a culdesac so it’s very private on one side of the house. The pool is refreshing. The home stayed cool even on 100 plus degree days. The amenities are fabulous. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. We will definitely be requesting to book here again if we return to Redding.

Great overall stay. pool was deep! 12'. diving board was a hit. water was a bit chilly, but it was high 90s every day, so quite refresshing. kids LOVED it. washer/dryer was great. watched some Disney+. kitchen is stocked well enuf for a vacation. could have used a few more plates, but we ran the dishwasher every day. AC is great. very responsive owner. the covered outdoor patio is AWESOME. loved hanging out there. Note, the bunk beds are on the ground floor, and the the other 3 bedrooms (incl master) are upstairs. Overall, would def come back. thank you Victoria! We used it as a homebase for our visit to Lassen National Volcanic Park. Raley's grocery store is 1.4 miles away. close enough to everything in Redding.
