Taraview Cottage - Fully self contained

We had a wonderful stay at Taraview cottage! This was our second time staying here and we loved it just as much! Clean and tidy and cosey. Wonderful to have the fireplace when temperatures dipped. The beautiful garden is a lovely spot to escape the busyness of life. Our little dog really loved exploring also! Thank you for the little extras like the arrival chocolate bars and treats for our dog. The flower arrangements inside the house were just stunning! Very close and handy to Greytown and Fresh Choice for supplies. Also close to explore Martinborough. Jeannie is great to deal with also.

We had a great stay. The most dog friendly place yet. We will be back.

A great place to relax, the property had everything we needed. The cottage is well located in a great garden setting surrounded by fields (& associated livestock!). We enjoyed our mini break and would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed at this cottage 24 years ago after our Church Wedding in New Zealand. We returned to celebrate our 25th anniversary ( we had a civil Wedding a year earlier in the Philippines.) Our stay this time brought back many memories. We are planning to return in 5 years for our 30th anniversary!

This was a wonderful place to disconnect from the spinning, racous world and connect with calming nature. The gardens are wonderful and great to walk amongst. Our host was aware that we might be a bit cold because of the temperature (the Kiwi summer had disappeared). The wood shed was found and a warm fire was built.

This was a charming, well thought out, beautiful place, with much attention to detail. An amazing host.

The cottage had a lovely characterful vibe but with all the comforts of a modern building. The garden was gorgeous and we were able to sit out under the fruit trees for meals. Loved the high ceiling in the lounge with mezzanine floor. Friendly helpful hosts, with extra welcoming touches when we arrived, such as home baked treats for the dog. Perfect for our family Christmas, thank you!

We had a wonderful winter getaway, it was freezing outside, but we loved staying in by the fire with everything we needed to enjoy being inside for the weekend.

Lovely cottage surrounded by magical gardens, filled with bees and butterflies! We found the road noise a bit loud but earplugs sorted that. The cottage is filled with charm and character. Great location to explore the area. Fantastic to be able to bring our spotty Poppi dog with us ;) Thanks Jeannie!

Great house, great process. Bit more road noise than expected

Another wonderful stay at this lovely cottage set in a fully fenced garden. Our Labrador loved checking out every inch of the beautiful grounds and enjoying the wood burner in the evenings. She was made most welcome with her own doggy bowl and bag of treats. A great location close to Greytown and Martinborough. We will be back!

At Taraview, guests get great proximity to Greytown while also getting the quiet of the countryside. We enjoyed strolling around the beautiful garden and relaxing in the cosy cottage. Highly recommended!

The cottage was perfect for a weekend away with our dog. The notes and information left by the owner were thoughtful and friendly. We all felt so welcome (dog included). The garden is lovely, tulips in bloom and very well cared for. There's an expansive outlook across paddocks to the hills which makes the cottage a very relaxing place to be. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

We had the most amazing stay - it is our second time going there and honestly it is the BEST if you are looking to unwind and relax . The garden is beautiful and the front porch is very sunny with a gorgeous view. On a cold day you can sit inside play games and light the fire - plus on top of all that it is super clean ! Highly recommended !

This property was perfect for my sister and myself, were there two nights, wished it had been longer. We both loved how the house had lots of old things ,all so comfortable ,the wood burner throw out great heat.Would love to revisit in spring or summer to enjoy the garden. Thank you .

Was great to be able to stay out in the country on the outskirts of Greytown. We went to Mt Holdsworth and did a wonderful bush walk. We loved being able to bring the dog and having a super place for him to run around. Thank you.

Great location.. easy to find.. short distance to Greytown. Cosy fire place. The house was nice and warm with the fire going.. our dog loved the garden.. I felt the only thing missing was a microwave would have been helpful to heat up food.
