PET POLICY
For these pet-friendly homes, there's a non-refundable pet fee and we allow one small/mid-sized dog only (50lbs limit) and no cats or other animals.
If pets were to be brought without our consent and knowledge, guests will have to pay twice the pet fee or will have their reservation cancelled immediately.
PET ETIQUETTE:
- Control their barking - if you have a loud dog, please never leave it in the home alone.
- Don’t let them treat everything like a fire hydrant (inside and outside the home).
- Play is fun, but silence is golden - be respectful of the neighbors.
- Keep them on leash while outside the home.

Water Damage:
- Leave indoor and outdoor pipes dripping to prevent them from freezing or bursting in the winter.
- During winter times, or when day time temperatures may be below 35 degrees Fahrenheit, then when checking out, turn off the main water valve completely and drain all pipes to prevent freezing. Also, leave the property heated to at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent freezing the pipes.
- Check washing machine, refrigerator, hot water heater, air conditioner (when available) and other major appliances (which use water hoses or drain lines) for damage, kinks, cracks, and contact us if you find any.
- If you notice any leaks around sinks, tubs, toilets, and hot water heaters contact us as soon as possible. These issues can lead to costly mold damage and rotten floating.
Fire Damage:
- Never overload electrical outlets and extension cords, or place throw rugs over electrical cords.
- Do not block a baseboard heater (when available)
- Never leave cooking appliances unattended on or unattended.
- Prevent potential embers from causing fires by using a Spark Arrestor at active fireplaces.
- Never dispose of ashes in the bear box trash can.
Property Damage:
- Keep the fireplace cleaned. Check for cracks, excessive soot, and ensure the chimney is properly topped with a metal cap to keep vermin out.
- Make sure to close garage doors and lock your car at night. Thieves will steal a garage door opener for easy access into a home later.
- Contact us if you notice any dead and damaged trees which threaten your or neighbor’s property.

Don’t get me wrong the cabin is located on a beautiful location with literally a small walk to the lake amazing trees around you. But that is the reason why the place is very outdated and dirty in the inside. The carpet and rugs seem like they haven’t seen a Washer Machine in a while. Carpet in the Master room is full with stains. My wife and I got Married on the 19th of March. We wanted a small getaway before the honeymoon and we love Lake Tahoe and well we never rented a cabin before we always stay in Resorts. This whole experience with this cabin was extremely disappointed honestly. The photos on that they have on the wed side are outdated and the cabin may look like that outside all beautiful and all but the inside is bad for what you are paying the night and the fees and all that stuff. Even if they respond to this review I want to say the lack of communication is horrible. But thank you for refunding me one day that I never stay out of the 5 days I also never stayed. One thing for sure is that if you stay here, I hope you find something wrong and everything is perfect. Because trust me they will take their sweet time to respond. Thank you again for the one day refund.
We enjoyed the home, loved the location and gorgeous view of the lake. Quiet neighborhood but close to skiing, state parks and town. Large kitchen and plenty of room to spread out.

Loved our stay. The gathering areas - kitchen, dining, tv are all on the top floor with views of the lake. Very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a great trail just up the street. I’ll be back!
This property was excellent for a family getaway to Lake Tahoe. The location was just what we were looking for as we wanted to explore many different areas around the lake. The house was clean and comfortable for my entire family with an adequate view of the lake from the large patio area. We will definitely return again on our next visit to Lake Tahoe.
The house was great - well equipped for our group of 8 adults (4 were college aged kids who shared the dorm room. We love to cook together and the kitchen was spacious enough to do that easily. We spent most of our time on the deck or taking advantage of the private beach which was a real bonus during Covid-times as the public beaches were crazy crowded. The house was clean and beds very comfortable. I was recovering from a major surgery and it was great to just relax with a beautiful view and have my family with me. My only complaint is with the property management. It is a huge pet peeve of mine to go to use the BBQ and find the propane empty. That's why you have 2 tanks so that does not happen! We eat late, so finding out that the meal you had planned to grill isn't going to work at 7pm is an inconvenience, especially with a large group. Also the garbage was full when we arrived and there was no place to put our trash (no garage). When I messaged the property management team the next day about both the trash problem and the lack of propane, I got this reply we will provide/cover the gas complimentary to you but no, we do not have staff to do the exchanges on your behalf at this time. There is no special place to leave the trash in the meantime but just double bag it and leave it in the kitchen. Unacceptable. Especially since there were no trash bags there - had to go out and get those as well! We had 4 days worth of garbage for 8 people in the kitchen until trash pick up on Thursday! It has been well over 2 weeks and we have still not been reimbursed for the propane. It's a good thing the house was so great. But not sure I would rent again as the property management was so unhelpful.
This was our first time doing a VRBO, and we were very pleased. The process was easy. We had everything we needed. The house was comfortable, and the neighborhood is super quiet. One of the best parts is that the house comes with access to a lakeside area with a kayak and dock -- we used it quite a bit. The only issue with our stay was that some of the dishes were dirty, but other than that, the house was clean, everything worked great, and we were super comfy. The driveway is a little steep, by the way. All the bedrooms are on the bottom floor, and the living area is upstairs. You can hear a lot of the walking around upstairs when in the bottom bedrooms, but it wasn't a big deal.
Everything was ready for us when we arrived, and the stay was comfortable. had a great time
Enjoyed the house for our family. Stairs leading up to the front door is a little steep for small children. Instructions say to turn off the “green” box for the bear mat. It is brown. Anyone not used to up here and all the bear wires, boxes, etc might be a little scared to get a jolt, if not done right.
