We had a relaxing stay. The house is well stocked and walking distance to many things including the rubicon trail and chambers landing beach/ bar. We unfortunately went on a rainy summer weekend, but the fireplace and hot tub kept us warm.
This was our second time staying at Homewood Haven and we couldn’t have had a better trip. The house was clean, well stocked and provided the perfect setup for a much needed week long getaway. Already looking forward to when we can return.
We enjoyed our stay at Homewood Haven, was a great set up for our family with the hot tub, back yard games and open floor plan. The location was great, central on the west side of the lake to many different things. We never did walk to the beach from the house as I wasn't sure where beach access was and just easier to drive with all our people and kids. Nice house, all set up for our stay - only thing we really had to get was toilet paper since they only provide a couple rolls. Recommend!
This property was beautiful, clean and well cared for. Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked, with ice maker & coffee grinder. Plenty of towels, & a nice hot tub. We had two bears come through the yard while playing the corn hole game that was provided, that was exciting! Sue responded very quickly to any communication. Great host, left wine & cookies too!
Our stay with kids age 6 & 8 in July '23 was great. The place is clean (including the hot tub!) and comfy. Sue was easy to communicate with and cared to make our stay great. Some highlights: The kitchen was great & well stocked for cooking. Beds were comfortable. The location is in a peaceful & beautiful residential neighborhood not far off the main lake road. A couple things to know about the area: Note there's pretty bad cell service (Verizon) in the couple miles around the house/that part of the lake for some reason. It can also be a pretty crowded part of Lake Tahoe -- but that was probably especially exaggerated on July 4th week for us. We usually went 20 mins north to Tahoe City or other areas a bit further for restaurants/beaches/etc. Chamberlain beach is in walking distance but we found it so crowded. Much better to other beaches for more relaxing beach experience Overall I definitely recommend staying here!
As advertised. Good location, easy parking, very helpful host.
One of the best properties we've rented. Everything clean, everything worked, beautiful neighborhood and setting. We're happy. Thank you!
Beautifully maintained home on Tahoe’s west shore. Our family enjoyed the location. Close to activities but still quiet. We even saw a bear on one of our evening walks. Hosts were great. The whole experience had us longing for our own Tahoe retreat.
My family and I had a great week in our vacation rental. Not one complaint or negative. Would definitely book this home again.
Nice home in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to Lake Tahoe beach and several trails. Short drive to local restaurants and several beach areas and water activities. We even saw a brown bear in the neighborhood.
This is our second time staying at Sue’s place and we again had an amazing time! with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the property is well situated and comfortable for larger families, but we stayed just the two of us (and two dogs) and it felt like we were right at home! This property has everything you could ever need and then some. It’s a little older but is in great condition (and so cozy) and very clean. The backyard is beautiful and we love to sit on the deck with coffee in the morning. Our favorite thing to do is ride our bikes from the house all around Lake Tahoe, and Sue’s house is the perfect launching point for that. Sue also is a great communicator and always kept in touch. We look forward to our next stay!
M y wife and our 2yr and our golden doodle and myself stayed at Sue's property, she left some amazing snacks out and bottle of Sonoma's finest. The kid loved the toys, the dog loved the yard and we all loved the sights, everyone was kind, helpful, it was quiet, however during the evening it picks up a little and you get to hear everyone enjoying the beautiful landscape. The BEARS are a real thing! My wife and I caught one while on the upper deck, next door trying to break in the window (we called it off). Do follow ALL bear rules, I am fairly used to bear country (Montana) nothing to mess around with, not violent however can break lots of windows and doors and you have to keep your car doors locked. Overall we had an amazing time! We will be back multiple times.
This is a beautiful cabin set in a nice quiet neighborhood. It's clean, spacious and close to hiking trails and a short drive to Tahoe City and the beach. The cabin comes fully stocked with anything you need. Me and my family sure enjoyed it, especially that wonderful hot tub! We'll be booking with Sue again for sure! ?
