Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had stayed at Swink in 2018 before Covid and loved the house layout and how close it is to the beach. This year we came later in the year, during hurricane season and were between them, so no swimming. The house was perfect again, however one of our family members had to sit in front of the open door by the deck the whole time because her pet allergies were so intense. We found a fan to put in the bedroom window to try to help, but couldn't help her. Im afraid this is the last time we will be able to stay in Swink. The almost invisible cactus in the yard were painful to pull out of my 12 pound dog's paws and nose, and the sand under the house was absolutely covered with someone elses huge dog's poop. We love this unit, but will have to see if you have a similar unit with tile or wood floors. Thank you for the baby toys, highchair and movies, we enjoyed them thoroughly and the goodie bag was wonderful as well! We will miss staying in SWINK for sure!

We had coffee every morning on the top deck. The private beach access made for a very short walk to the beach and it was the most quiet section of beach we've ever used. The location was convenient to all the places we like to shop at in Duck, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head. The only negative was the cactus in the yard kept getting stuck in our dog's paws when we took him out.

Furniture was comfortable. Mgmt replaced a toaster for us within a day. The hot tub had a problem that was fixed eventually, but we only had a few days of use. The beach access is an easy walk, no high dunes. Both sets of steps from the outside have landings which is nice for senior people and dogs. I did not let our dog go up or down the indoor steps. Pie shaped steps can be confusing for them. Five stars without the hot tub issue.

There are large spaces for the whole group to be together, and also areas to find some alone time. The two suites are beautiful. The proximity to the beach was greatly appreciated.

We had never been to the area and she sent great information. We have been using Brno or Airbnb, this was MUCH better. Plus we got 7 nights for the price of five! The house was perfect! Clean! We cooked and everything was there that we needed. The beach just steps away. So beautiful! Thank you!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very dirty. There was several stains that smelt like pee/poop. There was ants in the room with the two twin beds. The outside of the house was overgrown with weeds. There was several leaks in the ceiling and the wall to the queen bed room. There was a back up in the drains whenever you did laundry. The vacuum did not work well at all, and the master bed room with the tub had dirt in it. We kept our shoes on the whole time due to the carpet being so nasty.

Had a great stay for two weeks with the family. Very close to beach and fairly private. Had great amenities. Living space felt larger than the pictures, deck was great, and the eagles nest was awesome on nights with clear skies. Would stay again
