Sweet Waterfront Cottage, 4 person limit

This home is so comfortable and we enjoyed our stay! It is a charming home on a quiet street. The back deck is peaceful and perfect in the morning with a cup of coffee! Often we don't expect much from the beds at a rental but this home had very comfortable beds! We will be back!

A great beachfront on the sound, on a deep yard. Beds are very good and the kitchen pretty well-equipped. A cosy and comfortable summer cottage, far enough off the beaten to path to enjoy quiet and privacy, but just a short (less than 10 minutes) stroll to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

I can’t imagine being able to enjoy Ocracoke to the fullest without renting this lovely cottage. My husband and I loved sitting on the private beach area behind the house, with its clear, shallow water, each day. We would collect beautiful shells out of the water -which were always already claimed by little hermit crabs. We’d each pick three and set them on the beach and then laugh our heads off to see who’s racers made it back into the water first! We are easily entertained. . Then we’d ride our rented golf cart all over the island -everything so easily assessable. We had to drive our regular car to get to various large beaches but that was always fun, too. This house is in the absolute perfect location to enjoy everything. Debbie is quick to respond and so kind. I can not recommend this place more. We loved every inch of it.

Beautiful place on the water - interior pi’s a work of retro art!!! Host is wonderful!

Debbie was fantastic! She was right there taking care of cold weather problems when I arrived, and very helpful and informative whenever I had a question. Soundhouse was clean and comfortable.

What a great place

My husband and I had such a relaxing stay at the charming Sound House. Views of the water, comfortable quarters, everything we needed to ease in and relax!

This cottage is truly sweet in all aspects. It is located in an area that is close to the main street but far enough away that it is quiet. The sound location is beautiful, we watched the birds every morning while we drank coffee while sitting on the deck. The interior is very nicely decorated in a slightly retro and sophisticated beach vibe. The furniture and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had the perfect amount of space, dishes, cooking and serving utensils. The outdoor shower (with warm water!!) was also convenient to rinse off beach sand. There was even some starter soap, paper towels and bathroom tissue. The house was very clean. I had the opportunity to communicate with the owner in the weeks prior to our stay and she was very quick in responding to my communications. I would definitely consider renting this house again.

We have stayed here before, so like the location with the view of Pamlico Sound. The property manager is very responsive.
