Surfers Carlsbad Gem

This place was exactly as advertised. We spent two months and enjoyed its beach proximity, spacious bedrooms and quiet surroundings. Mid century modern home with some updates to today’s standards. Very clean. Ben, the owner, was easy to communicate with via text. We had issues with the AC.but he provided an adequate solution and was responsive. Be aware that you will jot have thermostat control as the AC unit serves two separate living spaces. Nearly new appliances and all working well. Great fenced yard for dogs if they are part of your family. Overall would recommend this property.

We really enjoyed the huge deck, comfortable weather and closeness to the beach. Many restaurants and bars available near the property. Really enjoyed our time here.

This property was absolutely disgusting. It smelled was in disrepair and not as advertised. We couldn't stay here And had to move to another rental. The owner was not compassionate and wouldn't give us any of our money back. We were swindled ! Beware!

We have been absolutely thrilled with the entire Carlsbad experience thanks in large part to the hospitality this space and its provided for us, our visiting family, and friends. The owner is wonderful—a good communicator via text or a call if necessary; attentive, timely, and personable, never intrusive. Cannot say enough good things about the family property—perfect size for our needs and then some. We are absolutely charmed by this space! A note on fur babies: This is a dog-friendly property in a dog-friendly neighborhood in a dog-friendly town. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed by the owner and neighbors alike. Another bonus. The North Counties have been good to us!!
