Great views, wonderful common space. Had trouble getting in but host was responsive and helpful. Internet was spotty.

Charming and peaceful spot for relaxing as a couple. The hanging fireplace with wraparound couch was a highlight - so cozy. It’s an older property for sure, but it met every need and was a great home base to explore the coast. Host was responsive and supportive to boot!

Enjoyed our stay quite a bit. Felt like a retreat with the quiet and ocean views. Steep walk to the beach from the house which I liked for the convenience and exercise. All in all a great experience.

We had a great time in this very dated, needs an update house. The view is beautiful. There is a path going down to the road to access the beach, but it is very steep, but the stairs are just fine. I don’t think we would stay here again Due to how old it feels.

House was perfectly located for nearby hiking activities or beach visits. It has everything you need and the view is just amazing. The gaming room is perfect for kids.

The house was nice and clean. We loved the unique style of it and the view from the deck. The fire pit inside was a bonus. Check in was a breeze. We did however think we were closer to the beach than we actually were and the walking path to the beach is closed due to the condition of the path. So we had to drive the short distance everyday.

As other reviews mention, if you have realistic expectations based on the price, this house is good enough. Great view and quiet/private neighborhood. House has everything you would need, including toys, games, and puzzles that our almost 3 year old loved. Also noticed a bunch of beach toys in the garage, although we brought our own. It is definitely an old coastal home and most of the stuff in the house is also pretty old. Also, though it is technically walkable to get to the beach, it was not practical for us with a little one and summer weekend parking in Oceanside can be tough.

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Symphony. Our family of 4 found it roomy and a great location that was centralized for wanting to drive up and down the coast. The views were amazing, especially in the evenings. The large picture windows did make it quite hot so make sure you crack the windows during the day to let air flow. Mark was great with communication and the check out instructions were straightforward.

Loved this little house. It was perfect for our family vacation. The place was clean overall, a few of the dishes were not clean, but a minor inconvenience. It is just a short drive down to the beach and the view is beautiful. We would definatly reserve this place again if we go back to this area.

The house is large and has a lot of room for hanging out - both inside and outside on the deck. The views are unbeatable.

House was very clean, harsh fire smoke when you walk in but open a few windows and it goes away mostly. Can't beat the view, quite far from the town, lacked a dishwasher, but other than that it is a nice place for the budget.

House was vintage and charming, great views and cozy. Great challenging hike near by that takes you down to the beach, going down isn't the hard part its coming up so if you are elderly or have small children I wouldn't recommended the hike. I would stay at this place again.

we'll be book-marking this for future trips to oceanside! super cozy, great layout upstairs for lounging, cooking, reading together. the trail is closed though so the beach isn't walkable...but it's less than a 5 minute drive to beach access.

We had a wonderful visit, wanted to spend a long weekend at the coast with our kiddos our almost 1 year old for the first time and 3 year old for the second time. This place was very cozy and retro feel was so fun! Quite neighborhood. Absolutely loved the views. Had an amazing stay!

The location had an amazing view of the ocean. The setting was delightful. It was a flashback to the 1970s with the decor. Our navigation around the area was a little awkward with road closures, but that’s not unusual in Oregon are only concerned was we had to rewash the dishes and cups and silverware they were a bit grimy. this could’ve been The responsibility of previous tenants, however.

The view and location was lovely. As long as you’re good with an older home and nothing extra, this is your place;). It fit our whole party (2adults and 4 kids and pup) and was very close to the heavy and amazing cafe, Blue Agate Cafe.

Loved the space, lot, neighborhood, deck, and views. Quiet neighborhood, hear ocean waves not traffic! Home was clean, cooking was easy, trail to beach a workout, but not far drive to main Oceanside parking lot if choose to drive vs tire trail. Enjoyed our stay as 4 adults.

This property is retro to the max. We booked it knowing it was an older property and liked that it still had a lot of the original features like the circular fireplace and built in sofa. Although our stay was totally fine, I was a little disappointed that a lot of the amenities were also “retro”, meaning the kitchen implements, towels, barbecue, and patio furniture were all pretty basic, mismatched, and out of date. Worth noting that there is no dishwasher. Also worth noting that the house definitely has a funky smell due to the original shag carpet and upholstery. Potential guests should also note that the main (upstairs) bath has a bathtub only, without a hand shower, so you can only take baths. The downstairs bathroom, which is much smaller and less nice, does have a small shower stall. The barbecue is an older Weber charcoal grill, which was fine for our purposes, but definitely not adequate for the barbecue enthusiast. We were hoping that there might be a way to walk to the beach, but unfortunately the trail, which is outlined in the guest book, is closed, and after exploring the first few feet we understood why- it is an extremely steep, dangerous trail with “stairs” made of old tires and no hand rail or anything to grab onto. That trail made our climb up Mt. Whitney seem like a walk in the park. Do not attempt! All in all, if you are looking for a retro funky beach-adjacent hangout spot, this place one of the more affordable spots left.
