Sunset Serenity / Kayaks Included / Beach Fire Pit / Pier Fishing

I was in town for work and chose here instead of a hotel. It was wonderful! The property is beautiful, quiet, and clean. I appreciated the coffee and ice and a very comfortable bed! The owner also left a basket of goodies and lots of reading materials. I spent some time unwinding on the dock and watching nature which was a wonderful diversion from my busy week!

This property is beautiful, it is also very noisy as the owner lives above the rented space. Every move made, every step taken and everything said you can hear. No real privacy what so ever, it was not disclosed in the listing as such. Text and emails went unanswered as well. We checked in Thursday evening and we left early Friday morning. We were suppose to stay til Sunday as that is what we paid for. It was so unpleasant and uncomfortable we rented another place from Friday-Sunday and it was amazing. I would hate for some one else to waste money on this place.

This place is wonderful! We stay here every September. Bill & Deb are great and it is so peaceful here.

This place was a nicely finished basement of someone's house, which I was not expecting, but really no issues w/the people upstairs or beside us. Little tricky to know where to go at first, but I asked the guy staying by there, if we were at the right place. They had nice offerings of snacks coffee and amenities, but we found oddly that the snacks were expired months ago, and the coffee two years ago. They needed a little work with that. Obviously shower and bathroom stuff did not expire like that so we had no problem using that stuff, just had a shock when we opened a snack and it was completely stale and from January..ugh! The coffee said best by 2023..lol We did have a light bulb blow as soon as we turned the light on and remote did not work as the batteries were dead, not sure if they just had not had anyone stay there in a long time or what, but those things we just did without. The bathroom and living room seemed pretty clean other than the dust all around the table. They had comfy chairs and couches we used because the bed was just too hard for either of us and we tossed and turned. But having a clean cold shower for the hot days there and nice central air after our adventures outside in the 100 degree temps, it was enough for the time being. The lady upstairs every morning was up watering flowers, and raking our beach sand and leaves. All in all, it was a nice getaway from home to relax by the water, and when too hot, cool off inside. We give them a 4 out of 5.

My husband and I needed a quick and relaxing escape and this unit didn’t disappoint at all! We absolutely fell in love with the Lake views and the private beach. Everything was very organized..from the communication, the directions, and the unit. It was super duper clean!!!! Several restaurants nearby made our romantic weekend even better! Bill and his wife are the nicest people!

Wonderful property and trip! Was able to enjoy a nice relaxing short stay in a clean environment with great access and views of the lake! Property manager kept everything clean and was easy to correspond with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful, and the owners were so friendly and were thoughtful in paying attention to many appreciated details. Enjoyed the weekend in the area around Lake Norman

What a wonderful few days away. Everything was immaculately clean. I slept like a rock. The beach and swimming were great. Will definitely come back!

In a very nice location. We walked a ton in the neighborhood with no worries. Very nice place right on the water. Definitely better in person than in photos. Great hosts!

Bill and his wife have a beautiful place, was an excellent host. We took the kayaks out on the lake, and enjoyed sitting on the floating dock. Beautiful neighborhood to walk around and see the (almost tame) deer!

Some of the best fishing we have had among the different places we have stayed at.

The kayaks were fun and all accessories were available like life jackets and oars. The beach had a fire pit with wood included.

This is our second time coming to this property and, once again, we enjoyed it very much. The place is very comfortable, clean and with everything you need. The biking and hiking trails nearby are beautiful! Kayaking into the sunset was unbelievable. There are great restaurants nearby as well. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We will certainly come back!!

Beautiful property and location on Lake Norman

Great location for a halfway rest to/from FL.

The property is beautiful.

Prime property in quiet neighborhood near boat landing. Surprised to bring home quite a few fish after the hurricane had just flooded the area. The deer walking along the area were beautiful. Plan to come again.

We thought it was beautiful area and really enjoyed the main at mall and decor mall because it had such nostalgic items and great food too. The place is comfortable but also felt like a step back in time but comfortable. Some of the snacks were out if code but it was nice they had some available. We did not go on the water at all but mostly because weather was a little cooler and cloudy.

The guest apartment was comfortable and the beautiful lakeside location made for a great stay. It was very private and had everything needed for a short stay. We didn't use the beach or dock but we did explore the property and it is a great slice of Lake Norman beauty.

Perfect amenities. Kayaking, very peaceful on Lake Norman and the kayaks are right at the dock. Beautifully maintained grounds- your privacy is respected. Very spacious. You must hike the Lake Shore Loop at the State Park (15 mins away) TAKE BUG SPRAY. FYI: Queen bed , regular coffee pot, nice toaster oven and microwave. You may encounter another guest on grounds as there’s a traveling nurse vrbo attached. Owners were great and super friendly.

Perfect little get-away. Hosts were helpful and kind. Property was restful and lovely. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely put it on our list of places to return.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had no issues. Nice, comfy bed, very clean and well kept, and having a smart TV with access to Netflix was a plus. The little beach/dock area is lovely, and we enjoyed floating out on the lake and kayaking. The owners gave us our privacy, and I would have never guessed that they lived right above if I didn’t know. We were able to take in the sunset and enjoy a fire on the beach as well. Great little place to stay for a little couples’ getaway. My husband and I wanted to enjoy a relaxing, kid-free getaway, and this was just that!

Very clean property. Nice and secluded. We will definitely come back next time we are im the Charlotte area.
