We were a group of 6 friends who get together yearly, and each one of us adored the house. We were looking for a place that had room for us to gather, but also to spread out, and this one over-delivered. The space is truly warm and inviting, and remarkably well appointed. We lacked for nothing, which is a rare thing to say when describing a short term rental. We love to cook together, and the kitchen had every tool we needed. The fireplace was easy to use, the bedrooms were each comfortable, and the bathroom options are abundant. The owners communicated well, and their attention to detail made everything so easy for us. Highly recommend, and I look forward to staying again.
Stunning property overlooking the Catskills. Pristine, with beautiful views. Very well-appointed kitchen for foodies. Peaceful, sacred land. Great for hiking and exploring. Property manager/owner exceptionally accommodating and accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - such a warm & welcoming environment for family & friends.
Longtime friends who get together annually to stay connected for Super Bowl weekend. Given demands of work and family we try and find a phenomenal place to stay near Woodstock. This property exceeded all expectations! From the thoughtful layout of the property (a huge common area / fantastic kitchen), to proximity to Woodstock (10ish min drive), to the excellent communication and service provided by the property owner (Nicola), our stay could not have been better or gone smoother. This property has it all.
I stayed in this house for a long weekend with friends. It was a great base of operations for attending the NY sheep and wool festival. The whole house was very clean and modern with a well-appointed kitchen and breathtaking views.
The view from the living room is breathtaking. You really are unplugged with no cell service. Go for a weekend to get out of the city and unwind.
Our time at Nicola’s home was marvelous, surpassing our expectations. She was a wonderful host, providing clear and prompt communication in a relaxed manner, while also checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. The house and property are beautiful. I appreciate the energy efficient design and comfortable layout. Very clean and fully stocked with anything you might need as a guest to feel at home. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, while the rest of the house is a pleasure to relax in. I found myself standing mesmerized in front of random windows throughout the house, viewing not only the mountains across the valley, but the surrounding forest as well. For those with an affinity toward nature, it’s simply a dream. You are connected to the outside around every corner. Wildlife abounds. Early risers have a good chance of observing the local deer contingent making their way across the property, nibbling on the reachable leaves of the fruit trees. I recommend the screened porch for napping whenever the mood strikes. There was a steady symphony of birds, grasshoppers, and all sorts of other natural musicians to charm us into a much needed restful respite. I can go on and one, but I suggest you discover it for yourself. I look forward to going back and would recommend this special place to anyone.
We had a wonderful stay at this house in the Catskills. The home has a modern, open layout with all the focus on the views towards the mountains. The pictures do not do the views justice - they really are amazing. I was working remotely while we were there and the internet worked perfectly. The house is close to plenty of activities, including downtown Woodstock and an incredible hike up to Overlook Mountain. One word of warning if you're visiting in the winter: Zinnia Lane is a private gravel road. The roadway is well-maintained but very steep. There was about one inch of snow the day we arrived and we could not make it up the hill in our minivan. Nicola was extremely helpful and called the neighbor to plow for us right away, so it really was no harm done for us. But a 4-wheel drive would be nice, especially if more snow is on the forecast.
Our family of 4 had a wonderful long weekend getaway and loved every minute. The home is beautiful - tranquil, cozy, inviting - and our host Nicola was so kind and helpful during our stay. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Watching the sunset each night after over the mountains from the living room was our favorite part! We can't wait to come back in the summer.
Loved this place last year and we came back again, and loved it just as much. Beautiful, peaceful, with nature front and center but no lack of modern comfort. And those windows…
We were drawn to this rental by the listing’s photographs of the home. But the reality surpasses that vision. The big row of windows creates a deep connection between the beautiful surrounding land and the inside of the home. I got up early every morning to sit beside the windows and watch the sunlight work its way down the side of the mountains - a perfect meditative start to the day. The home overall is beautiful, modern and comfortable. It’s a place that invites respite from the surrounding world - exactly what my family needed right now.
