This property was the perfect combination of immersing yourself in local culture whilst retreating to a private oasis to soak up solitude and sunsets on the beach.

Nice , clean and quiet

Spotless and so well appointed. Tranquil spot and great place to relax in privacy but close to Inverness, Mabou and Port Hood too for local music and food too.

The house was very clean. Comfortable, attractive furnishings and beautiful views. Had everything we needed. Appreciated the dining and activity suggestions made by the owner and the ease of check-out. A little difficult to find at night, as it is off the beaten path, but helpful, detailed directions and a map were provided.

This property exceeded all expectations! Michael helped us with great advice for dinner. We only stayed one night but would have enjoyed a longer stay. The interior was beautiful as well as confortable. The balcony was so relaxing, we were lucky to have the best weather! Thank you, Michael!

Beautiful villa in a beautiful setting. The place was inviting, extremely clean, well organized and had very comfortable beds. Michael went above and beyond in communicating with us and also gave us lots of info as to sights to see and places to go. Would highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay in Port Hood. Thank you for the amazing stay. The sun setting over the St Lawrence seaway was spectacular.

We stayed with another couple and the cottage was just perfect. We each a bedroom and bathroom at opposite ends of the cottage, so I felt that we our own space and were not on top of each other. The cottage was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. I especially appreciated the provided laundry soap and little things like a large bar of soap for the shower. We loved having happy hour on the large back deck with a beautiful view. Michael was excellent at communicating us. We felt very comfortable here. I wish we could have stayed longer.

It was exquisite! Immaculately clean, beautifully designed, modern “home” We wish we could have stayed even longer! Each bedroom was spacious with extremely comfortable beds and full sized closets. Lots of storage too. Kitchen fully equipped with full size fridge/stove. Front loading full size washer and dryer if needed. Incredible views from balcony off of kitchen. Host/owner had outstanding communication skills!!!Truly 5 stars! Gorgeous, public sandy beach short drive away- we did not have time to use beach near property as advertised.

Absolutely amazing stay. The place was so clean. Beautiful view from all rooms and deck. Beautiful nature trail to the beach. Hosts were very easy to communicate with. 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful spacious pristine property, inside and out. Everything needed was provided - towels, dinnerware, appliances, beach chairs, fans.... Convenient access to everything, beautiful, quiet beach, nice walking road, stunning sunsets. Would highly recommend and would love to return!

A lovely 3 bedroom home nicely decorated and with every amenity required for a nice stay. The rural setting is quiet and peaceful, with access to the beach.Our hostess was very accessible if he was needed. We had a delightful week on Cape Breton.

We were two couples touring cape breton; the Collingwood villa was a great place to regroup and rest for 2 days ; place had amazing pristine beach and beautiful sunsets; great spot to visit the local attractions in Mabou and Port Hood . Definitely a must stay if your in the area ; and a bonus wss thw 10 /lbs lobster down tje road

We had a nice stay. The house was very nice with a beautiful view of the water. The house is very private with a nice back yard with large deck. The only minor negative would be the gravel road you have to drive on. It is groomed so not hard to traverse at all. We would differently stay here again.

The villa was even better than advertised. It was clean, well appointed and a perfect location for all that we wanted to do during our first trip to Cape Breton. The short picturesque walk to the beach was lovely and the private beach area was incredible. The water was warm, lots for the kids to explore and play with and the privacy was unmatched.

We had an amazing vacation in Cape Breton Island. The Villa was clean and beautiful. It was very spacious. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. There are windows all along the side facing the ocean with beautiful views. There was a large deck facing the ocean where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning and relaxed in the evening. There was a nice nature walk/ path with so many pretty wild flowers along the way. This path led to the beach where we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets. We visited Cheticamp and Cape Breton Highlands National Park and went hiking on some of the trails. We also visited Baddeck and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum . We enjoyed all of the restaurants, and everyone was very friendly and professional. I wish we could have stayed longer and we certainly would love to go back and stay in Port Hood at the same villa. What a special property. The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We all slept well and had plenty of space. It was great to be able to do laundry, grill, and cook. Everything we needed was provided.
