Sunset Cottage on Badin Lake, NC!

Quiet cove and the sunsets were a beautiful way to end the day.

Unfortunately I was not there for vacation.A friend of mine that lived nearby had just lost her father and brother within days of each other so I was there to offer comfort and care and give her a different view.The view was absolutely beautiful.The house was very comfortable and well stocked. Just as described. A respite in a rough sea. Would definitely rent again.

The room closest to the lake has a great view of the lake, perfect table for playing board games (or mahjong, in our case), and darts for the kids. We also caught a catfish off the dock! We'll definitely consider it for future visits!

The house was beautiful! Thank you for opening your home to us, we had a great stay! I could absolutely live there, it’s so peaceful especially on that side of the lake, and so much space on the deck to enjoy the views. Yes, there are a lot of stairs going down to the dock, but I actually enjoyed getting some steps in! And it wasn’t a big deal for our 3 boys. We thoroughly enjoyed our week!

We had a great time in this well appointed home with a spectacular view! We brought our own boat and had a blast on the water. The home was very clean and comfortable and the dart board and shuffle board were well utilized. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and hope to return with our family again.

Great place to stay!

Everyone was impressed with the property! It was a comfy & cozy space and the beds were actually comfortable! The house is well-stocked in case you forget anything (like extra towels, papertowels, trashbags, etc.) The kitchen is well-stocked too so if you did need to cook, you would have pretty much everything you needed. The view from the decks are amazing! There are a LOT of stairs to the water, but to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee on the deck, you just need to walk out of the doors. We spent most of our time enjoying the view. Everyone really enjoyed their stay and would highly recommend!

This part of the lake is so peaceful, and views are outstanding. Just a note to boat owners, if you bring your boat there is an area under the train tracks to get to the other side of the lake. Had to call about check in due to the code wasnt set as my last 4 digits of my phone number as was stated in check in email. Quick call and the girl at the office updated the code so we were able to get in. The property looked like the pictures. There wasnt any lights going down the stairs to the dock. It would be really helpful to have them at night time. I personally dont like the door knobs for the outside doors. If your going to have door knobs like that its a must to have a dead bolt. When would email it would take a day or so to get a response overall good area and clean home.

One of the coolest lake houses and experiences we could have imagined. The house was great and the shuffleboard table was a surprise hit!
