Sunrise Mountain Retreat-Summer Vacation with Hot Tub

This was such a lovely place to stay - felt like home. The house had everything we needed, down to a grill & accessories, snacks, toiletries, fully stocked kitchen, full-sized appliances, games, puzzles, books & toys, and the good toilet paper. It was located right on the highway and the view can't be beat - sunrise and sunset, right on the lip of a canyon. It was quiet and private. All we could have wanted or needed.

This home exceeded my expectations! The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, answering questions before we arrived. The sunrises were unbelievable!! As a photographer, this was a dream come true. My photos from this trip bring back my sense of awe every time I look at them! (And the brownies were a massive hit with my kids!) :)

We had the best time staying here. The screened porch with beautiful mountain and valley views was a highlight. The house was very comfortable for our family of 5. We enjoyed floating the Buffalo River, swimming holes at Steel Creek and Pruitt, and exploring Dogwood Canyon in Missouri. We hiked Lost Valley Trail by Ponca. Bring a camping hammock to string between the many trees! Would stay again!

Stayed here for a motorcycle trip, and the location is great.The property was clean, tidy and well equipped.The hosts were great, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome! I'd stay here again happily!

Sunrise Mountain Retreat is just that, a retreat from life to the astounding beauty of nature. This home is perfect for a couple or family vacation. Perfect location and separated from any adjoining property. This is a perfect spot for relaxation or for heading out to hiking trails or Buffalo River.

We experienced the best southern hospitality in this place. On arrival we found out that they had baked us a tray of brownies, which was to die for. they also had snacks and cookies, water, condiments, coffee, and a lot of the essential that what you need to make your stay easier.

It was a nice little getaway. The only problem was a little hiccup with hot tub. Was looking forward to using it- but didn’t get to was a big factor in renting. The brownies were a very nice touch.

My husband and I visited Jasper for our 21st anniversary. We really enjoyed the view. The property was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic view! Older home needs a bit of work. Pretty strong smell of moldew and mold inside. Very limited pots and pans for cooking. Outside could use some Cleaning and maintenance. The hottub was a nice addition. The view the view the view!! maintenance and cleaning.

It rained off and on the day we got there and there were rainbows in the valleys for two hours straight!!! Gorgeous view!!

Our family of 5 traveled from a larger city to hike and float the river. We had a great time and enjoyed the property and view. Everything was clean and very basic nothing too high end or fancy but totally met our needs. We hope to come back to area again!

We were greeted with fresh brownies and an amazing view! The property was very well maintained and comfy. The owners were very thoughtful providing us with complimentary water, bathroom products and chocolates on each bed! We will definitely be back.
