Sunny South Mission Vacation House - Dover Court

This is our second stay here. You can’t beat the location- steps to the beach.

Our first time staying at this location and our first time to San Diego. We typically pick a place with ocean/beach front access but because of the busy boardwalk, this was perfect for us. As described by the property owner, the beach is one minute away and it is visible from the front patio. So we had some privacy and a lot of access. The property was clean, stocked, and comfortable. Another huge positive was the garage, as parking access can be an issue in the area, especially later in the day or on weekends. The property is a multi unit property, but there were available outdoor spaces for each unit and for our stay there were no issues or inconveniences. Access and instructions were simple and convenient. Excellent stay for us and would recommend and repeat if possible.

Another year, another week at our favorite place! As every year in the past, the house was clean, comfortable, and we had everything we needed and more… you can’t beat the location!

Perfectly located just a few steps from the beach and walking/bike paths. Had a fun time renting bikes and riding to Pacific Beach to explore. The home had all of the necessary amenities, plus comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen. Appreciated the shower's water pressure, too. The host was responsive to my questions and needs.

We had a fabulous time. The house is very clean, easy to get to and we felt safe. Looking forward to staying here again. Thank you!

It was agreat location to the beach Bellmont Park, and local eats. Just wished we had a ceiling fan and box fans that worked. For the most part we had a great time.

We have rented in Mission Beach for years and this home was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. It has a great patio and it’s an easy walk to restaurants and Belmont Park. We will definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a great stay at this property. The manager was responsive and helpful. A few small items- the carpets in the bedrooms are a little gross looking and the beds/mattresses seem like they need to be replaced. But overall, you can’t beat this location and we would absolutely stay here again.

The location was ideal. The communication was great. I was able to park a Nissan Rogue in the garage by backing in but it was tight.We enjoyed the patio, listening to the ocean, and the 5 minute walk to Belmont park.Overall, the house met our needs and would stay again.

Super-close to the beach, clean and well equipped. My wife, granddaughter and I fit perfectly into this tiny but typical Mission Beach home. We found great local carry-out pizza, Mex food and an over-priced convenience store a short walk up the inland side of Dover. PROS: - spotlessly clean- well equipped kitchen- nice kid extras like pac/play, hi-chair, inflate mattress- decent furnishing- comfortable beds- very, very close to the beach, which is visible from house. - short walk to restaurants/bars on the strip- single car garage- tons of beach chairs/toys, likely left by other guests. - strong Internet CONS:- tiny garage barely fit our Camry, difficult to enter/exit- constant airport noise often drowns the sounds of surf.Overall, this is a great place that we’ll look for on our next visit.

The house was awesome! Everything was as described. The only thing negative would be that the patio chair cushions need replacing and the bbq could use a cleaning between guests.

We had a great time and it was a perfect place to enjoy Spring Break!

Absolutely love the location!!!! We have stayed on this property the last few years and it never disappoints! Everything we have needed has been available, the house is clean etc. Another great week!

It was great! The location was perfect and everything was near by. The cleanliness was lacking. The carpets were kind of gross, it had popcorn and other debris on the floor in the bedrooms. And there was a film on all the surfaces we had to wipe down and we had to sweep the floors to walk around comfortably. It seemed like it was not cleaned between stays or a very quick clean. The bathroom and kitchen were sanitary!

This host is superior to all hosts. I could not get the cable to work. He contacted Spectrum to come out and fix it. The host came to the house to sit and wait for the cable guy so we could enjoy our vacation. The refrigerator was being replaced and the host again was going to babysit the house while they replaced our refrigerator. They actually showed up bright and early so we just dealt with it. It was quick and easy and we had a new refrigerator. The check out procedures are the best, you do not have to do anything!! That’s rare these days! We’ve stayed here twice and will be back!

Home was in the perfect location close to everything but south enough to not be in the middle of all the holiday weekend chaos at Belmont. Home was the perfect size and patio was where we spent the majority of our time! Will definitely stay again.

The host was very easy to communicate with. Responded right away with a new coffee pot when the one there didn't work. Bedding and towels clean. Needs better fly control like a screen door on front door because house gets hot during the day and flies come in with the door open. The hot water is so hot it's dangerous. The sponges in the kitchen were very used. Kitchen towels needed. TV didn't work without us using our tablet to cast youtubetv to it. A keypad lock would be much easier to deal with to get in and out. Our Explorer did NOT fit in the garage so we had to find parking each day. I assumed the description would have a warning about what size car could fit but it didn't and I should have asked. The washer and dryer were in great working condition and had soap and dryer sheets available. The fridge and microwave counter top light both need lightbulbs so it's hard to see at night without the very bright kitchen light on. Fridge and stovetop work great. Oven cooks but doesn't broil. Carpet needs cleaning. Patio chairs, table and lounge chairs were great. Beach chairs,umbrella and boogie boards were appreciated.
