Sunny Boy | Pet Friendly, Lake + Mountain Views!

We had a lovely winter break at Sunny Boy. The house was spacious, clean & the view of the lake just beautiful! We’d love to be back soon. Thanks!

Almost perfect, but for the lower level patio could be spruced up and the lower level bunk bed is unstable. The hot tub was not in working order and that was the major and only disappointment for this trip.

Convenient to grocery/shopping/restaurants

Our stay was everything and more than I hoped it would be. The house was beautiful! It was impeccably clean. Fully furnished. In a great location. And the views were picture book perfect! We enjoyed the fireplaces immensely. The pool table was also very fun to have. While it had a hot tub, we didn’t get a chance to use it but it was still nice to have. The only negative was that the sliding doors were hard to open but that did not cause any issues at all. We are already looking forward to staying there next year.

The house has everything you can think of…lots of room. However, it’s totally outdated and dirty and it needs to be gutted. It smells, there were lots of flies, the carpet had stains all over it. The bathrooms were yucky as well. The shower doors didn’t slide, kept getting stuck, and they were dirty. The slider doors were all dirty, screens were broken. The beds were somewhat comfortable but SOOO loud with every movement. All of the beds in the house did it! The house is right on the main road and right next to a hotel. Definitely not a secluded location. You hear the cars in the house - the speed limit is 25, but people are definitely doing double that. House didn’t provide TP or hand soap- things that have been provided in all of the other houses we’ve rented. The property management company was great - they called to check on us and when we complained they sent someone out to try to clean a little more, which we really appreciated. The house is an A frame with great views of the lake, but the sun shines in the house ALL afternoon!! It turns the house into an oven…no matter how cold you set the AC. The top windows should be tinted. The lake is beautiful and HUGE. The house is on a little cove which is great so the kids could swim and kayak and paddle board. We rented water trampoline and the kids loved it. There is some lake grass in the water which was fine…the water is crystal clear!! Nice cool temps in august, warm enough for the water, and cool enough for camp fires

The home was beautiful and filled with all the amenities for an enjoyable stay. The lake and slope views were amazing, everything was as stated on the listing and we will definitely stay here again!

great house just the road noise in the morning

Nice location. Bad shower pressure and shower heads. Need replaced. Minimal heat lower level. Loved the area and family had fun in this crazy time.

They show multiple pictures with their dock out in the water, but it was not available when we visited the location on 10/18/2020 weekend. When we called and asked about the dock, the management office told us that it's written in the contract (fine print) that it's not guaranteed after labor day? We rented a boat for the weekend and were not able to use the dock. It would have been nice to know that the dock was not going to be available. The management was not willing to work with us and told me to call the marina to see if I could get a refund. Terrible customer service -- you could have worked with us to figure something out. We're definitely reasonable people, and I think a small gesture would have been sufficient. We will not be back to one of their properties. The sheets were not very clean - I think they were washed, but probably could use a refresh.

Overall convenient location on lake however house sits very close to the road which can be a concern with a dog. House was not overly clean when we arrived and looked like it had not been vacuumed. House is older but in decent shape. Furniture in family room only sits max of 5 which is a challenge for large group. Large kitchen table was accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large but beds were very uncomfortable. There is no fire pit despite the large yard which would have been great during the cooler summer nights. Deck furniture was wrought iron with no cushions therefore no one sat on deck to enjoy the view as the furniture was too uncomfortable. Overall great location but small improvements as suggested are needed to make this worth the money and a better choice.
