Ideal for for a couple or even solo travellers. Suncatch Corner is a beautiful newly renovated holiday let in the popular market town of Saxmundham, only minutes away from the Suffolk Coast. This is a well-equipped property with everything you need to set yourself up with a base to explore Suffolk.

A perfect location in the center of the Suffolk Coastal district. With Aldeburgh and Thorpeness only 15 minutes away, Southwold 25 minutes away, Framlingham only 12 minutes away, and Woodbridge only

You enter the property into the well equipped kitchen, which comes with everything you'll need during your stay. A full size fridge freezer, oven, and all the usual essentials you'd expect to find plus a washing machine which you can make use of. Additionally, you'll find seating at the round dining table for four just in case you have company.

Moving through the property you will find the bedroom on your left where you will find a comfortable double bed made up with luxurious 400 thread count linen and our lovely soft hotel standard towels. You'll be left 2 towels per guest, one bath towel and one hand towel. You'll find the bedroom cozy with the original beams in the ceiling and a softly lit lamp on each side of the bed, perfect for reading. Just after the bedroom, the bathroom will be to your left with a small shower cubicle, toilet and sink basin. This will be stocked with enough toilet rolls to get you started but you may need to purchase more if you're coming for a longer stay.

The living room towards the back of the property is the ideal place to put your feet up after a long day exploring the Suffolk Coast. With it's large sofa you'll have plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable in front of the TV, we have left an HDMI cable there to connect your own devices. There's a small brown pouffe to make use of as well. Again, the lounge benefits from the original beams in the ceiling which adds a touch of class to this property.

One thing to bear in mind is that whilst we allow pets at Suncatch Corner, we don't have a big garden for them to run in it is just the wooden deck area and a concrete yard.

PLEASE NOTE: There are currently building works going on nearby until August. This is usually only 9am-4pm on Monday's so should hopefully not cause you too much disruption.

Positives: 1. Location is excellent for exploring the Suffolk Coast. 2. Saxmundham has everything you need in terms of shops, cafes, takeaways etc. 3. The cottage is walking distance from the amenities. 4. Although basic, the cottage had a well equipped kitchen. 5. Off road parking for two cars. 6. Constant hot water. 7. Outside seating, but views are disappointing- see point 6 below. 8. Dog friendly. 9. Key safe access. Negatives: 1. The TV was unwatchable. The picture was awful! No DVD player to offer an alternative either. 2. In the lounge is a mysterious door marked 'private' that leads to an adjoining property. It wasn't mentioned on the cottage information. It's an interior door so not that secure. 3. The bedroom is small with limited space to manoeuvre around the bed. The bed is a wooden frame so a bit of an obstacle. Expect to stub your toe! 4. The welcome folder asks that you strip the bed before leaving. I had no issue with this. I did have issue with the quality and cleanliness of the duvet and pillows! The pillows had seen better days; they were flat and stained. The duvet was also stained. On reflection, I wish I hadn't been as helpful. It put me off after sleeping there for two nights. 5. The fridge is noisy, but we just closed the kitchen door at night. 6. The cottage is next to/above a building site. The views from the windows are far from scenic! 7. The standard of decorating and finishing is poor. It looks like a bad DIY attempt. They have kept the original beams, but it was a little disconcerting that they'd removed all the supports. The outside decking area is also on stilts. The photos on the website are VERY complimentary. If we had stayed longer, or if we'd paid more, I'd have been annoyed. If you're just looking for a base and don't plan on spending much time there, it's fine. It's basic, but comfortable. The lounge area was spacious, which to be fair is probably the room you'd spend the most time in. It definitely has potential.
