Stayed Oct 10, 2025The photos are a good representation of the property. Host was pleasant. We had a couple of dogs with us. The house and property was enjoyable and as expected.

Stayed Sep 24, 2025The property was about a mile and a half from the plaza and there were no sidewalks for most of it so I would not recommend walking to the plaza. There was a very nice walk with trails near the museums. The property is eclectic (more rustic than modern, the floorplan is a little chopped up and there is some older carpet) but served our needs. Other reviewers mentioned the tiny sink in the downstairs bathroom and we confirmed that other than washing your hands, it was too small to brush your teeth or wash your face. There is a somewhat slippery ramp right outside the upstairs bathroom which was fine but may be hard for less mobile people to navigate. The shower in that bathroom is small and may be difficult to use for very tall or large people. One of the windows in the upstairs bedroom did not have covering but that did not bother me. The bed in that room is very comfortable. The downstairs living room and large round table in the dining area are comfortable. The kitchen is adequately stocked with utensils and spices. A couple of us had difficulty connecting phones and tablets on the WiFi (there were no issues connecting my laptop though.)Communication with the host was good. While not the most up to date VRBO I've stayed in, the property has rustic New Mexico charm and was comfortable.

Stayed Aug 9, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sun Mountain house. It's a beautiful property from which you can walk into town or up further into the mountains. The house has some quirky aspects to it - such as a very small sink in the downstairs bathroom - but we quickly got used to them, and the library and grounds, where deer and hummingbirds are frequently to be seen - are well worth a stay here.

Stayed May 16, 2025We loved the charming antique nature of the house. We were quite comfortable and all our needs were met. I do wish the living room had other furniture so the whole family could hang out comfortably. Also, the couch really needs replacing. Other than that, we were very happy with this home.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025My family and I had a really comfortable stay here. It was roomy and had a fireplace that was nice on the cool nights. As a tea drinker I appreciated some tea to get me started before I went to the grocery store.

Stayed Mar 22, 2025It was thrilling to stay in a house that truly had a historic ambiance. It felt we were living part of the Santa Fe world. One evening a small herd of mule deer came by. We were able to visit all the museums we wished and be with nature.

Stayed Nov 25, 2024Very quirky place. We left behind some better cookware for the next folks. We booked months in advance and I talked to someone on the phone about travelling with our toddler. We talked about a pack and play- they said they had one we could use! I got text messages reminding of our trip, and asked several questions weeks before our arrival. They never answered. I ended up bringing a pack and play for kiddo, which was good, because there was none at the rental. We got a long email with instructions and disclaimers, but the wifi password was wrong and it seemed like generic info from the property management company. The heater in one of the rooms was broken. There was a space heater as a replacement, but nothing to indicate the wall unit was bad. I texted about these issues and didn't get a response. I started messaging through the VRBO app for traceability. There was a lovely snow while we were there and a huge leak above a window. Finally they answered about the heater and the leak. It's a very interesting place, lots of character, but the support from the host was not great.

Stayed Dec 6, 2024Staying here will make you feel like you live in Santa Fe. The home is very comfortable, but previous reviews re: the small bathrooms are accurate. But there is a wood burning fireplace, comfy beds, and a very quiet neighborhood!

Stayed Oct 15, 2024We loved the look and feel of this home. The bookshelves and decor were lovely. The bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable. We loved the location - it was far enough out of town that we even saw deer in the yard twice but close enough that it took just minutes to drive to the plaza or Canyon road.

Stayed Sep 26, 2024We enjoyed our stay but the house is in desperate need of update. There were holes that were barely patched and exposed plaster, ,peeling paint and the bathroom sink is the size of an airplane sink. Furniture was not very comfortable. The pics online were very different from the actual house.

Stayed Aug 5, 2024My family and I really enjoyed staying at this home, with its books and lovely setting among little pine trees. There's a nice patio to sit on, and the books are a great asset. (Warning: the sinks are quite small, especially in the downstairs bathroom.) Overall, we loved staying there.

Stayed Jun 21, 2024A long walk or short drive to everything. Very quiet neighborhood, lovely home. My only negative is that the bathrooms are very small and the downstairs one is oddly narrow. But I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Had a wonderful time. I was here with my 23 and 25 year old granddaughters celebrating my 80th birthday and we all loved the house.

Stayed Jun 8, 2024It was a nice place to say and our host was friendly. This is an older house with old lights and plumbing (the kitchen is new), but this was as described, and we enjoyed the authentic Santa Fe home experience.

Stayed May 26, 2024This was our first trip out to Santa Fe and we could not have picked a more perfect place to stay! The property is quite private and very lovely. And close to all the things we wanted to see and do. It's an older home with tons of charm.

Stayed May 20, 2024Just before we checked in, VRBO informed me that there was a potential temporary problem with the property we rented that they didn't want to risk. So they moved us to a different property that was a significant upgrade and didn't make any change to the fee we had already paid. Our group loved the new property and appreciated VRBO's excellent customer service. My answers above are for the new property we were moved to, not this property.
