Summerland OBX - 5 Bdrm House in Duck - Oceanside-Schooner Ridge- walk to beach

We enjoyed a dream vacation in Duck thanks to Bob and Mary and their perfectly beautiful home in Schooner’s Ridge. We walked to the beach and into town for dinner and shopping. We would go back 100 times over!

This was our second stay at Summerland, and I am definitely predicting a third visit! This home is simply perfect and the owners are the most thoughtful and kind people to rent from. They truly care about the property and the guest experience. They are constantly working to maintain and upgrade the home. We love the neighborhood, with pools, playground, workout facility etc. The house provides 4 bikes, and we love riding into town for dinner, shopping etc. The convenience of not packing beach toys, chairs and umbrella is so helpful. The outdoor shower remains a hit as well!Shout out to the housekeepers too! They do a simply spectacular job at maintaining this home. It is spotless.I cannot say enough! This home has it all.

We were an extended family group of 8, and the house was a perfect space for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms and kitchen are new, fresh, clean and extremely well-stocked. We were able to cook with everything you would hope to find in a kitchen. We enjoyed both dining outdoors in the screened in porch for dinner which has a sunset view, and also the large indoor table with excellent central a/c. The house is also stocked for going to the beach with outdoor shower and footwash, beach chairs, beach toys, and bikes. There is also a very well-stocked game room. A note on beach access, it is an easy short walk, plus there is a beach parking lot for the community which is even closer and was never full during our stay. The house does not have a view of the beach. Overall, everyone enjoyed our time at Summerland. We would return! Finally, the hosts were gracious, responsive and attentive. We could not have asked for more.

“Summerland OBX”home accommodated all 10people, especially 4 teenagers. Especially enjoyed the porch swing, upstairs sprawling couch, beach chairs & umbrella, as well as 4 bikes to tour the area. The home was very comfortable and functional! Great location to Duck and community recreation pools, gym, and of course the beach. ?️

This place is such a gem. I think it’s even nicer than the pictures show. It is freshly renovated, the furniture is in great shape and the home is clean. The beds are perfectly comfortable. The owners have thought of everything. The house is full of awesome amenities. There are 4 bicycles, which we used to get to the beach, dinner, shopping and for morning exercise. One of the bikes was small enough for our 8 year old. The house has beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, ping pong, basketball, and corn hole. Our kids loved the game room, with a mini pool table, board games, puzzles and their own drink fridge. Outside, there is a lot of porch seating, a hammock and a swing. The outdoor shower was a huge hit! So much, that we never used the indoor showers. There is also a footwash outside. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. Every utensil, every size pot, pan etc. The beach access is 0.25 miles from the house. It’s a super fast bike ride. The community has 2 outdoor pools and one indoor. One of the outdoor pools is right on the beach. The owners are lovely. They communicate really well, and we had an absolutely perfect stay.
