We loved this sweet cozy homebase for our 10 day stay in Key West. The laundry is just around the corner, and a grocery store the next corner. We loved the feel of staying in Old Town. The house is clean and tidy, and was well supplied. The hostess is attentive and communicative. Great experience!!

Great location. The room met our needs. It was clean and comfortable. The owner did a great job of communicating everything we needed to know. Everything was walkable, which we appreciated.

The location, size and layout were excellent. For the cost, however, it was lacking in cleanliness, and shabby, bleach-stained bath towels, and as others have mentioned, the lack of shampoo, soap, a dish towel and dish drainer, are unacceptable.

Cute, older place in good location, with nice front porch. You can walk, but we rented bikes, and glad we did. Because you have to park on street and only in designated areas, it's hard to find a spot. Place did not seem that clean. Floors were really dirty. Walked 10 steps after getting out of shower and our feet were black!

This was an amazing little spot, so close to Duval and some very good local restaurants! Will definitely be staying again if available when we come back!

Cute little space, but moldy air conditioner in living room

This was mine & my husbands first trip to Key West to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. This was a perfect place for the two of us. It’s located in the heart of all you want from Key west- shops, restaurants, grocery, sceneries, bars, art galleries, excursions, museums etc. Yet, the neighborhood was still somehow peaceful with all the action surrounding it. The neighbors were very polite. The house is very clean. It is actually nicer than the pictures with many upgrades added that are not included in pictures. Such as flat screen tvs- 2 of them. One in the living room and the other in the bedroom. I recommend updating the pictures. We were able to watch Netflix since we brought our hdmi port just in case, which we were expecting not to since the picture shows a box tv. So that was a nice surprise. The ac, water pressure, plumbing- all great. The bed & pillows were comfy. Cute kitchen. Working coffee pot. we rented a moped for our 3 day stay which made parking in the neighborhood and all of key west so much easier! I highly recommend Marilyn’s home! She does a great job!

Quiet street, perfect property for 2 people. Sandy's is around the corner for great Cuban coffee and take out, or 15 min. walk to restaurants, otherwise if you're not a walker, rent bikes or a golf cart.

Very well stocked kitchen. We loved everything about this property.

All details great. Parking on street was fine. Great location and walked everywhere other than beach was short drive. Overall highly recommend

Loved our stay here!

House was small and adequate for the two of us. I thought the bed mattress was too soft and could be replaced. I could have used a dish pan. Water was hot and lights really good in bathroom. Pillows were too hard for me, would have liked option for soft pillow. The place was quite clean.

Functional. Walking distance to Old Town.

We had an awesome stay! The home has such charm and character; loved sitting on the front porch, people watching. We found on street parking close by and didn’t move car for our 3 days stay because we walked or biked everywhere. It is a quick mile walk to Duval street and enjoyed taking different routes to see the sights. It was easy to communicate with host, received all info timely, would stay again next time in Key West!

The condo/room was very clean and put together, the location is a nice neighborhood.

The host was very nice. Loved the big walk-in shower and front porch. A great place to get away from the hustle. In the neighborhood. The planes coming from above were loud, but didn’t bother our sleep with window A/C. Old and dated, but clean. We had to walk a while and are older so we stopped along the way.

Place was perfect for chillin out after crazy day at boat races. 10 uber to Mallory Sq. Tvs have been updated since pics were taken. Host was very responsive. Thanks JP

Everything was just fine. Marilyn was responsive, the place was clean and we were able to find parking fairly close to the property. We are looking forward to possibly staying again next year.

Our second time, staying in this little house. Nice neighborhood, within a mile walk to our snorkeling excursions and Duval street for dinner. Owners are quick to respond to our questions. Easy check in and check out processes. Will stay here again the next time we are in key west.

The location is very convenient and parking was easy, which made getting around simple. The house is basic, with older furniture and appliances. The sofa in the living room could use repair, and it would have been nice to have essentials like shampoo provided.The main challenge we experienced was with check-in, as we didn’t receive the instructions beforehand and had to spend some time reaching the host to get access. Once inside, the stay was fine, but smoother communication and a few updates to the home would make the experience much better.

Had a little lovely time here. The space worked great for visiting Duval St and the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay once again. We’ve started here many times and there’s far too many positives to list here. A few highlights at the great property owner, the location, easy to get to and from, comfortable bed, large shower area, and amenities anyone needs for a stay. The neighborhood is quiet and many options nearby like laundry needs and a great cup of Cuban coffee and sandwich while you wait. This place has all you need with a full kitchen, futon couch if needed, and starter supplies for the kitchen or bath and all this without the ridiculous pricing some owners charge for less of a place. Everything you want to do in Key West is outdoors so all you need is comfortable and usable space to stay and refresh.

Simple check in, clean, quiet, and cozy. Comfy beds and fluffy towels. Within walking or biking distance of just about everything. Loved having my morning coffee on the front porch.

This is a fine low budget place to stay, especially if you intend to spend no time at the house lots of things were just not quite right here Simple things like the oven doesn’t work or the patio furniture is broke or no batteries in the any clocks in the house or the fact that just about every thing with an electric cord was unplugged,or no Kleenex or holes in the shower curtain, strong musty smell that we couldn’t get rid of and silly us, we thought there would actually be soap in the house, but there wasn’t we had to go buy our own.

My husband and I had a great time staying. Lots of things to do in walking distance.

We decided to take a week off in Key West. Marilyn was extremely accomadating as our dates changed. We had a slight communication glich as emails didnt get read. Once we connected, it was great. The house was just right for 2 people. It was a quiet neighborhood, so we got a lot of sleep! We could have walked to most activites, however im waiting for knee replacement surgery, so we drove downtown and to all sights.

Such a great location. Cozy charming place to stay! Centrally located. I would strongly suggest renting bikes to get around with ease. I will stay here again!!!

The location was in perfect walking distance to get to downtown Key West. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. And the host was so welcoming and approachable about anything we needed. Thanks for a lovely Key West adventure!

Se enjoyed our stay!

Vrbo made communication a little complicated at first, but when I spoke to Marilyn she made everything easy. She’s an amazing host with a beautiful home. If you get the opportunity to book it you won’t regret it.

We enjoyed our stay here in Key West. We were able to walk to everything, but you will be putting in some miles. We had to check in later than check in time, but the cleaning people explained they were busy and traffic caused issues. The host called us to let us know when it was ready, which was nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The time went too quickly. Communication with the host was excellent. The weather was beautiful and the place was cosy.

This property is centrally located and we easily biked around to everything. There were restaurants and a gas station in walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and neighbors were friendly and quiet. The bed was so comfortable, and the adjustable head of bed was so nice! I feel the price may have been on the high side due to Spring Break. I’d like to stay again and hope the price may be more reasonable in other times of the year.Overall, we loved the place and the location.

We needed a reasonably priced spot to sleep while visiting Key West for the first time and this fit the bill. We drove in from Miami, so had a car to manage - parking is an issue! There are few open spots for visitors, so plan accordingly. Great coffee spot right around the corner and a few walking distance eating places if not staying near the Duval Street center at dinner time. Would benefit from a little more local information in the space (Notebook of menus, maps, top tourist spots, checkout information, etc) to help orient the first time visitor, but the host was very responsive when we had a problem during the stay. Good trip!

Quiet, small apartment that is close to everything if using a bike. The bed was comfortable, apartment clean, and met all our needs. The only downside was not much space to park 2 bikes. We struggled to find space each night to lock up our bikes. The host was very responsive and easy to reach for any needs or questions. Would definitely stay here again.

It is a perfect location and has great neighbors. We rented bikes and parked the car.

Had enjoyable three day visit in Key West. Stayed in comfortable little VRBO house apartment in southern part of Old Town.

We always stay at this location when available. There’s another one at the rear of the property and it was a good spot but we’re spoiled by this one. We’ve stayed here so much it is almost like a second home. It’s well appointed, the shower is huge and the place is cozy and has the lived in feel to it. There’s plenty of basics in the kitchen, full size fridge and stove, the bed is outstanding and adjustable, and there’s even beach chairs to use while staying. Marilyn is a great host and super responsive. She makes sure you’re notified of anything or takes care of issues as soon as possible if something comes up. We had no problems and will definitely be back soon!

Once we parked we didn’t move our car for the entire stay. We were able to walk everywhere.

This is the perfect place for a 3 day trip to Key West. Very cute in a quiet neighborhood. You do have to walk a little to Duval Street which was fine for us.

We always love our stay at this location. Marilyn is a wonderful host and treats her return visitors very well. The place is located just a few blocks from anything you want to do in Key West, very cute and comfortable place, and meets our needs perfectly. We love the friendliness of the neighbors and the home is very well maintained.

Overall, we were satisfied, however, the mattress was too soft, our hips (and we are not old by any means) were hurting every morning from being sunken in the soft mattress. The rugs and the couch could have been cleaned or replaced (stained all over). The smell could have been better too. However, the kitchen and bathroom were cleaned, very well stocked with clean towels and pots and pans and appliances. We did enjoy our stay.

Key West Retreat provided a cute home base for our weekend on the island. The location is convenient if you want to walk/bike around Key West. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, we felt right at home. Rooms were pleasant and the porch was a nice extra touch.

Small but big enough, clean and comfortable.parking was a bit of a challenge as there is no designated parking spot for the unit. But we got it worked out. Would stay again.

The property was just as described and a very quiet neighborhood. Felt like i lived there for those few days. It is a positioned equal distance from everything! Host communicated well, even helped me recover a necklace i left in the cottage!
