Stayed Apr 3, 2022Quiet and peaceful week on the creek , overlooking the marsh in the middle of live oaks and Spanish moss! The wildlife, including dolphins right at the end of our dock, was spotted every day. The house itself was perfect for our family. The only suggestion we would have is that it needs more silverware, we had just enough for a group of 8 which meant washing it often. Everything else was great!!!!!

Stayed Sep 12, 2021The pictures don't do justice to this beautiful home and property! As soon as we entered the Tolomato Island community we knew we had found a hidden gem. Spanish moss created a beautiful nature tunnel on the tree-lined streets and paths which were perfect for easy biking and walks. Walking into the house only set higher expectations for our getaway. Beautifully decorated and full of light with full length windows overlooking the yard and marsh. We spent our mornings on the dock drinking coffee and watching the tide go in and out – the river is full of fish, crabs, butterflies, birds – watching a rosacea spoonbill feed just 20 ft. away made our day (tip: bring binoculars!). We baited and tossed the crab trap into the river and enjoyed a delicious dinner that night. Took full advantage of the two kayaks to explore the river a bit. At night we lit up the fire pit (finding firewood was a bit of a challenge, we made the hour round trip to Lowe's after striking out at several closer stores). The Coastal Market is a short drive for groceries and staples, we bought fresh shrimp right off the boats in Waterfront Park (FYI 10 lb. min. purchase) and discovered The Market on Sea Island for amazing prepared foods to take to the beach. Even though there were plenty of beach supplies at the house, we opted to rent chairs and umbrellas from Barry's Beachside Rentals in front of the King + Prince Resort on. St. Simons Island. I really can't think of anything the house lacked for supplies, the kitchen and baths are fully updated, both master suites were gorgeous. Highly recommend!
