Access to Tahoe Donner Association amenities are governed by the Tahoe Donner Board. It is generally a very family / guest friendly environment; however please note that some guest restrictions, blackout dates, fees and / or capacity limitations may apply during busier summer days. Guest Access Cards will be located inside the property and must be returned upon departure. Any unreturned cards will result in a $100 replacement fee per card.

While this house is “pet friendly”, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. Guests agree to take full financial responsibility should there be any damage or additional cleaning required due to pets presence.

No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per Town of Truckee ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).

Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.

Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home.

The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).

There is a path that leads from the driveway to the front entry door. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe snow on the path. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.

WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.

ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.

We rented this house for a week-long ski trip. The home looked much fresher and newer in the listing photos. In reality, it is dated, fairly dark, had challenging heating (lots of cold rooms, only one space heater provided) and some boarded windows. We tend to cook a lot. This kitchen wasn't really conducive to cooking - it was stocked with the most basic tools/utensils, and had very few dishes/cutlery (we were a family of four, couldn't make it through the day without going through most available dishes). The property manager was responsive and did his best but was working with a somewhat challenging property. If you are going to be out most of the time ask for some space heaters and go for it. But if you are planning on getting cozy at home and spending quality time indoors, this is probably not the place for you.

What a great time had by all! Fully stocked kitchen allowed us cook whatever we wanted. The heating system was wonderful and easily controlled. 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Cozy gathering room with large table. Perfect for board and card games. Close to Northstar and Sugar Bowl. Coyotes howling in the distance! We will be back. Thank you!

The property had plenty of space for three couples, two with small kids. Everything was clean and in working order. The location was great for accessing the Tahoe Donner area. Also, I had a few questions for the property manager Dave before booking our stay and he was swift to respond and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at Dave's place, it was spacious, well equipped, well designed, and in a very convenient location. Loved the fireplace and the hottub. Highly recommended!
