Stayed Apr 6, 2024We came out to see the total eclipse and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the property and the town. The place was really nice, with plenty of bedding to go around and lots of stuff in the kitchen to use for cooking. It also had some of the comfiest beds I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping on.

Stayed Nov 22, 2023First, the things we liked best about the property were that the beds were plentiful and for the most part, comfortable. All the bedding was high qualty, especially the pillows. The kitchen was well equipped; that was important to us since we put the finishing touches to our Thanksgiving dinner there. The laundry appliances were new and clean. We were surprised at all of the minor maintenance that needed to be done. First, the exterior screen door was in bad shape. Someone had tried to repair the screen with duct tape but it was flapping loose. We just kept the door propped open so that we didn't further damage it everytime we went in and out. Both bathrooms had issues with towel racks. The master bath had none and the rack in the basement bath was coming out of the wall. On the first floor, the electric heating unit had exposed wires which could have been a danger. We kept the children away from it. A window in the dining area was broken, although it didn't seem to be creating a draft. An issue with the three bunk beds is that anyone over the age of 5 was unable to sit up in the bottom bunk. It makes for tight and a bit uncomfortable sleeping. We didn't know the house policy about using spices, teas, alcohol, etc that was left in the kitchen and living room. It seems like this unit gets a lot of use and people just leave things behind. We used the few spices that we needed. All that being said, we enjoyed our time there and felt relaxed and comfortable.
