Raymond, Maine
Enjoy the spectacular lake views from nearly every room in this newly renovated home, and from the large main balcony and the bluestone patio which overlook Notched Pond.
You and your guests will have use of the main house and the waterfront areas during your stay, including approximately 150 feet of private waterfront, the new extended dock and swim platform, five small boats and other listed recreational equipment.
Conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Portland and the Jetport, this beautiful waterfront retreat is close to where the action is, but still feels worlds away. This peaceful and serene hideaway is situated on an extra large, half acre lot nestled in the woods of Maine's Lakes Region. Super clean, beautifully decorated and nicely appointed, this redesigned home has three private suites with attached full bathrooms. It’s the perfect destination for families with older kids, or for couples or friends traveling together. Just minutes from the Maine Turnpike at Exit 63, this little-known vacation spot is a lake-lover's dream and a day-tripper's paradise!
This lakefront property is unique in that each of the three suites has its own attached, full bathroom. Each of the bathrooms in this house has recently been completely renovated with new tile floors and custom designed marble and tile showers. Thoughtful touches and carefully chosen furnishings will have you thinking that you must be at a luxury resort. Sink into the large freestanding soaking tub or step onto the warm shaved river stones at the base of the shower and then wrap yourself in plush white cotton towels. It’s Heaven!
Every bedroom suite has oversized casement windows which provide stunning views of Notched Pond and the surrounding woods. Also, both master suites on the main floor have private access doors to the main balcony, which also overlooks the pond.
On the ground floor, the twin suite’s attached full bath includes a custom designed laundry area with new high efficiency Samsung washer and dryer. The twin suite also has French doors which open onto another large family room area with direct access to the bluestone patio, the outdoor firepit area, and then onto the lake beyond.
All of the operating systems in this beautifully furnished home have been recently replaced and are regularly serviced, ensuring that your visit will be as safe and hassle free as possible. This home is also equipped with a new Generac stand-by generator, which will activate automatically and power the entire house and grounds in the event of a local electrical outage.
The property owner is a local stained glass artist and a devoted Tax-Aide volunteer. Attached to the main house in a separate building is the owner’s art studio. The owner will be on site there in the studio, to assist you with check in, and to attend to the requirements of the property during your visit (for instance, watering the lawn and garden). When you meet the owner at check in, she will give you the keys to the property and show you around the lake house and waterfront, and answer any questions you might have about the house, the boats or the lake. And then you will likely not see her again until check out, unless you need her assistance, or you get up very early one morning and catch her watering the lawn.
Rented only twice last season, (both with five star results!!) this beautifully designed and carefully maintained home is a secluded lakefront paradise. This wonderful family home will only be available for rent again this coming summer of 2020 on a very limited basis. From the end of June through Labor Day week 2020, the owner will be responding to inquiries and accepting reservation requests for stays of at least 3 nights or more.
In about 30 minutes, you can drive from this lake house to the Portland Jetport, to the center of Downtown Portland, or to fabulous Commercial Street - a wonderful working waterfront area jammed full of fantastic shops, bars & restaurants and SERIOUSLY THE BEST LOBSTER you may ever eat in your entire life. Within an hour's drive you will find all kinds of great fishing, boating and many different water sports and sightseeing activities. There are lots of fun things to do and beautiful sights to see, both here locally in our Lakes Region and also just north of here in the Bridgton and Long Lakes areas. Lots of great little towns can be found everywhere up and down the coast, from Kennebunkport to the south to Brunswick and Freeport Village, with the LL Bean Flagship Store and the Outlet Stores to the north - all less than an hour away by car from Notched Pond. And in just three hours you can be in Bar Harbor, and on the doorstep of Acadia National Park. So this lake house can be a great stopping over point, if you’re driving up that way.
Beautiful views, peace and serenity await you at this gorgeous waterfront retreat. Every space in this home has been custom designed by the owner and has been lovingly renovated by local craftsmen. Since the roads down to the lake are private, and there's no public boat launch around here, there's always plenty of wildlife - lots of birds in the trees, lots of fish in the lake, lots of critters in the woods - and yes we have LAKE LOONS all season. They come and fish every morning around the dock - it's very fun to watch!!
All inquiries will be answered as soon as possible. Best of luck to you with your vacation planning!!
Looking forward to seeing you in Maine!
Cheryl recently finished a major remodel of the home, and it turned out beautifully. Our favorite spot was the deck off the living room where we could sit and look out over the pond and listen to the loons. We had a wonderful weekend!
