Raymond, Maine
Experience summer the way it should be. Come stay in a more than 100 year old rustic cabin which sleeps 10. It’s located directly across from Frye Island on Sebago Lake. Relax and play on the private sandy beach by day, lay in the hammock in the afternoon then sit around the fire pit to watch the sunset from an elevated 270 degree view of the lake. In August, you can pick wild blueberries from our peninsula which includes 416 of water frontage and two acres of property. This property is at the end of the Raymond Cape off of a private road so if rest and privacy is what you want it doesn’t get any more peaceful than this.
The main cabin has four bedrooms. Two bedrooms have one double bed each. Another bedroom has one queen bed. And the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. There is one bathroom, a washer and dryer, a television with a DVD player, and wifi. Over the new construction garage there is a bonus room with 1 queen bed, 1 king bed, a crib and A/C.
With so much to do in the area keeping busy and having fun will not be hard to do! You could take a short canoe trip to Frye's Leap or to Frye Island where you can eat at the restaurant, have an ice cream cone, or take in 9 holes of golf. There is also great fishing on the lake. The property has a permanent dock and mooring for a boat and a floating dock to swim to and play on. The private beach is perfect for the little ones to build sand castles or for anyone to relax in the sun. There is also a large canoe and 2 kayaks. You are about 10-15 minutes from restaurants and ice cream shops and 30 miles to downtown Portland and the airport.
Dogs are welcome in the main house. But we do charge a pet fee. $50 per dog. Two dogs max.
This house on Sebago Lake was perfect for our 2 family getaway. House had everything we needed on a great beach. We would definitely stay again.
Beautiful spot, we went over the Fry Island in the mornings on the boat to the cute market/restaurant. Love the big living room area and all the windows overlooking the lake. Also great spot for the fire pit, plenty of chairs. Thank you...hard to leave this morning
Campy, Cozy & relaxing…read a book from a rustic nook in the sprawling cabin. Kayak, Swim or Canoe. Visit nearby Frye Island. Wine & S'more's by the beautiful fire pit. Trails of scenic Lake Sebago on property! Relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of life’s madness…you won’t regret it. ♥️Leave everyone in the cabin and fall asleep on the hammock ?
House was comfortable with everything that was needed for a great stay. Private sandy beach and dock was perfect.
They say the number one thing in real estate is location, location, location. This cabin has that covered 100%. With its own small sandy beach, kyacks, a canoe, and a small dock on Sebago Lake just a few steps from the front door, this is the place to go if you like quiet lake life. That's what we wanted, and that's what we got. Our family spent a lot of time paddling around, including a trip across to Frye Island for lunch. Why pay for the ferry when you can use the canoe? My wife even went swimming in the still-warm-enough water. in mid-September. The cabin is rustic, no doubt. It is old and a little crooked. But it is also comfortable, a place where you can just relax. Sit outside. Enjoy a fire. Read a book. Cook a meal if you want. Just breathe. It's that kind of place. If you want a short getaway where you can reconnect with family, it's a great choice. You will not come home raving about the building. But you probably will come home reflecting on the relaxed lifestyle, even if only enjoyed for a few days.
I really enjoyed this setting at the lake very private and so relaxing . The private little beach the view the campfire all perfect .. the house is an old charming place .. kitchen well stocked .. jenn the owner was quick to replace the grill too !!
This Lakehouse is definitely rustic and campy but we loved it and had an amazing time. We had everything we needed. If you want to sleep in, sleep in the room over the garage as you can hear everything in the other house. Not insulated and all wood. We had young kids with us and when they were up we were all up. The property and lakefront are great. We spent a lot of time kayaking and enjoying the view. Jen was easy to work with and the neighbors and Deb who lives nearby were super sweet, friendly and helpful. We loved the simplicity of the house and had a campfire every night outside. The house could use some work but like I said it’s rustic.
When renting a property I don't expect to have burned out light bulbs. I do expect fans to work as advertised. The add on charge for Deep Cleaning was a waste of my money.
We love staying at this property for our family vacation. The location is perfect and you can’t beat the incredible views. The beach area is perfect for children of all ages. The kids ages ranged from 2-15 and they all had something to do- swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding or just having fun jumping off the dock. The kitchen is well equipped. This is our second time staying here and we can’t wait to come back again next year.
My husband and I stayed at Lone Star Camp for our alternative honeymoon this past week and had an amazing time! The views are absolutely the best part, regardless of if it was sunny, foggy or cloudy. We loved the privacy of the entire property, especially the sandy beach where our dogs LOVED swimming. The owner and property manager were wonderful and made sure we had plenty of firewood even though it was the end of the season. The main house definitely has a lot of old cottage charm in contrast to the updated room above the garage. You get the best of both worlds. We loved this property and highly recommend it!
