Stayed Jul 21, 2025Excellent location with bay view. Quirky house with lots of stairs and different levels. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Clean. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Kids loved the “lookout tower” at the top. As others noted, beach access is very tricky and harrowing with the trail down a cliffside, but it’s a beautiful spot (and cheaper than places right on the beach.) Close to Cama Beach and Camano Island State Parks. It rained the whole weekend while we were there, but we made the most of it!

Stayed Jun 30, 2023Very private and secluded , access to the beach (little hike needs hiking shoes). Only thing we did not noticed is that the yard is shared. Unit A where we were staying is the biggest so we had the most use of yard. In our case we did not even meet the neighbours in the B as we had dogs and they stayed inside. Lovely place, would come back and probably rent the all property A &B for complete privacy

Stayed Sep 17, 2022The house was very clean, quiet area. Just like others mentioned the trail is hard to use. Only 2 of our guest went down. And struggled getting back up. I was worried the house would smell like dog since it’s dog friendly. The house didn’t smell at all. They actually had a cute little corner for dogs providing a few items. The house was perfect for 8 people. We all had our own space and felt comfortable. Beds were clean and cozy. The house doesn’t have AC but they did provide big fans in each room. The house has lots of stairs in every direction. be prepared to climb up and down. Maybe not the best for elderly or young children. The master is on the 3rd floor. Living room couch was comfortable and clean with extra blankets and tons of pillows. My only negative was what others had mentions. The kitchen could use more items. The house is for multiple guest so big meals would be prepped. Especially if your a cook. It had your basics. We made due with what we had. The big microwave doesn’t work. So they put a new one on the counter which is too small for the dinner plates they have or a baby bottle. Pantry had minimal items. Salt. Oil. A few left overs paper plates. Coffee filters.

Stayed Aug 24, 2022We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is beautiful, overlooking the Sound, with a rustic trail to the beach below. It is quiet and homey, with a kitchen that you can actually cook in. It's a truly dog-friendly property as well, with a little nook for the dogs, dishes, and toys. We were a party of 6 people and 2 dogs, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The backyard has a great firepit which we enjoyed making smores around.

Stayed Feb 22, 2022It was quiet and isolated. We had a calm, relaxing visit. Although the house is along a road with a high speed limit, the house is completely hidden by trees and it is set very far back from the road. The house is an interesting layout; it's a Camano Island interpretation of Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim. There is a central, spiral staircase and as you proceed on the stairs, the rooms are positioned off the sides of the staircase. The very top of the staircase has a funny 360-degree view like a turret or lighthouse. The kitchen works, although it's limited in utensils and pots/pans. We had enough to make all our meals, but there isn't anything fancy. The door on the microwave was broken. It is a nice microwave, but it took us a while to find a way to get it to work. The door latch is broken, so sometimes the electrical panel wouldn't function or it would display an error message. We'd open and then close, or slightly pull on the handle to get the latch to sense that the door was closed so that the electrical panel could function. The beach is nice and there is a trail down to the water. It's a steep and natural trail to the water. People who have difficulty on stairs or would struggle to scramble over a log would not make it down the trail. If you like trail walks though, the beach is quite lovely.

Stayed Jan 7, 2022Property was impressive, clean, and had an interesting layout. The trail down to the water is challenging and probably needs some maintenance before summer. The amenities inside were Ok but quite minimal. For example, microwave seemed to work only intermittently. And some simple kitchen utensils were lacking (ladle, serving spoon, whisk, etc.). A $10 investment at a local kitchen store would fix that. Likewise there wasn't a sink stopper, or dishwashing pods, or a broom. The bolts on the upstairs toilet between bedrooms need to be tightened down, but it worked. We were an elderly group (late 60's to late 80's) and the stairs were somewhat challenging but that's not a property problem. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
