We stayed in late October during an area wide shut down due to a mass shooting in Lewiston the evening after we arrived. We were happy to have been at such a beautiful location with plenty of space to “shelter in place” as opposed to a hotel room. It was a very peaceful setting when the world around us was in chaos. Thankfully we had picked up groceries on our way in. We purchased live lobster when stores re-opened 2 days later & had all the necessary pans to cook it & tools to eat it. The house was very clean. Others commented on it being out of date, but that is more due to the decor. We had Wi-Fi & good TV reception, & essentially everything we needed including games & books to pass the time when we couldn’t go anywhere. If we’re ever in Maine again we would stay here again.
Would stay here again
Property is very nice. Great location next to state park. Dock was awesome to sit on and listen to the afternoon end before the big family get together at the fire pit in the evening. We especially enjoyed the highland cows across the street from the driveway. They were eager to come and say hi every time we went to go see them. The home is perfect for a large get together or for just a nice time away. I hope to go back again. We had so many lobsters and the home has everything you need to cook more lobsters than you can eat. Thanks for the memories
Nice and easy check-in. Beautiful property with even more beautiful views out into the Casco Bay. During the warm days we could enjoy coffee out on the deck and move indoors to plenty of seating during the cool nights. We were able to feel like we were the only ones within 100 miles yet we were minutes away from Wolfs Neck state park and Freeport that offered plenty of shopping and dinning options.
The property is beautiful. The house is a bit dated but had everything we needed. The overall value for what we paid was excellent.
There were eight of us sharing the home, staying for a friend's wedding. There was plenty of room and amenities. The location on the water, amongst fields and farmland, was spectacular! We hope to make it an annual visit.
If you are looking for a breathtaking view, this is the place. There were six of us and we found the house to accommodate us nicely. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Every room had a beautiful view. There was plenty of living space. The down side was that it is very dated. I don’t think anything has been done to the house since it was built in the seventies. The furniture, bed linen, carpets, pillows, windows and just about everything needs updating! The house had all the necessities that you would expect. Jim, the owner stopped by to check in. Overall we had a good experience and the view outweighed what the house was lacking!
This was an exceptional experience, both the transaction and the stay. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming or responsive. The property is wonderful. We hope to return. Many thanks!
We stayed in early March 2019 with our college age son’s. We were up to Maine to burry Grammie who passed away suddenly. Although we were visiting for a final goodbye to Grammie the house gave us plenty of space to visit with family and friends for the week that we stayed. There are several areas to host company very comfortably and the views from the home are amazing. Jackie and team are great to work with. Mary & Pete Paradis
We were here over Christmas and had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of room for 6 adults. They had everything we needed to cook with in kitchen, games, air mattresses, walking trails and shopping nearby. The large dining table was a wonderful gathering place for us plus extended family who visited for Christmas. The views and sunrises were absolutely spectacular! Excellent location and manager, Jackie, was prompt in answering any questions we had.
