Some places feel like a vacation the moment you walk in. This is one of them. Welcome to this charming hilltop retreat with breathtaking mountain views, Perched on a private hilltop between Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Recreational Forest, this charming recently renovated two-bedroom cottage delivers the perfect blend of mountain beauty, seclusion, and convenience. Step onto the front porch and watch the Blue Ridge unfold in every direction — rolling ridgelines, open sky, anda stillness that melts the week away. Whether you're here with family or another couple, this is the kind of place where mornings slow down, coffee tastes better, and you find yourself lingering on the porch long after your cup is empty.

The days here write themselves. Head out to world-class hiking and biking trails, chase iconic waterfalls like Looking Glass Falls and Triple Falls, or spend the morning fly fishing the Davidson River — all within minutes of your door. When you're ready to come back, the cottage is waiting: a fully stocked kitchen for home-cooked meals, a cozy living room to decompress, and that front porch again — this time for golden-hour sunsets that paint the mountains in color, followed by a night sky so clear and star-filled it'll stop you in your tracks. Just 10 minutes from the charm of downtown Brevard, this hilltop retreat gives you everything — adventure, beauty, and the kind of rest you actually come home from vacation feeling.

The Home

Clean, inviting, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The open-concept living and kitchen area is where the trip really comes together — cook a real meal, spread out a puzzle, pour a glass of wine after a long trail day. Six can lounge comfortably in the living room, and the kitchen comes fully stocked with everything from spices to cookware so you don't have to think twice. Both bedrooms offer queen beds, and the primary suite includes its own TV and a dedicated workspace for anyone sneaking in a remote workday. Keyless self check-in makes arrival effortless, with ample parking right next to the house.

The Views & Outdoor Space

The front porch is the star. And this is where you'll spend more time than you planned. Long-range mountain views stretch across the Blue Ridge in every direction — the kind of panorama that stops you mid-sentence and makes you just stare. When the sun goes down, the sky earns its own round of applause; with minimal light pollution and an open hilltop perch, the stars here are genuinely something else. Pull up a chair, pour something cold, and let the view impress — day or night.

Out back, fire up the included propane grill and settle into the wooded calm. The lot sits on a low-traffic dirt road shared by only a handful of neighbors — private without being remote, peaceful without being isolated.

Kitchen & Living Area

The open-concept kitchen and living space creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere ideal for gathering after a day of exploring. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, spices, condiments, and everything you need to cook meals at home. The living room offers seating for six and a TV with YouTube TV plus streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Prime.

Sleeping Arrangements

The primary bedroom is a true retreat — a handsome queen bed anchored by a stunning reclaimed wood accent wall gives the space a warm, rustic-chic character you won't forget. Hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, and linen curtains round out the cozy atmosphere, while a dedicated workstation and its own TV make it equally suited for remote work or a quiet night in.

The guest bedroom is bright and welcoming with bold navy curtains, matching nightstands, and warm hardwood floors. A teal upholstered headboard and nature-inspired accent pillows give the room a fresh, cheerful feel — perfect for kids, another couple, or anyone who appreciates a good night's sleep surrounded by greenery views from every window.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cute cottage. The views were amazing and the decor inside was done fabulously. It was a short drive to Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock. I enjoyed soaking in the view with coffee on the front porch each morning. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will definitely be back!

This house looked newly renovated and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Its central location made it easy to visit several areas. Close to town but tucked away in a small quiet neighborhood. Loved sitting on the porch relaxing after a busy day to watch the sunset over the moutains.
