Stayed Sep 6, 2025The deck was spacious and provided a nice view. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was spacious. The house needed some work both inside and out. Overall we had a nice stay but for the price felt updates were needed.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025We had a generally fun stay on our first trip to Cape Cod. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, which was nice, but the location made the trip very car-dependent—there are no sidewalks, so walking anywhere wasn’t really an option. The home was clean and the back porch was definitely the highlight—great for relaxing. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The grill was a nice touch. That said, a few things need attention. The lighting in the bathrooms and kitchen was a major issue—nothing worked properly for the first few days, and even after that, the kitchen and downstairs bathroom stayed very dim. The front door slams shut every time, which got annoying, and there are some loose stones on the walkways. The exterior is generally in good shape, but could use a bit of maintenance—trimming bushes, updating worn siding, etc.Overall, a solid stay with some great features, but a few maintenance issues to be aware of especially for the high price we paid!

Stayed Nov 26, 2024The view of the winter gold wetlands from all windows on the two floors was lovely. Spacious home very comfortable and quiet for couple upstairs and couple downstairs with a 1 year old for Thanksgiving celebration week. We did not realize that what looked like a downstairs living room with a bed in it was actually a bedroom with a door, so that there were 3 bedrooms on the ground level and 1 bedroom on the main level. The ground floor is very dry and comfortable (no worry about mustiness) and the rooms have big windows with beautiful views. The owners must be avid cooks because they had the most cooking equipment, utensils, platters, etc. than we have ever seen before in a rental. The contact was extremely helpful and responsive; he also let us check in early, which we so appreciated. I believe the house is still being readied for renters. The front of the house particularly at the entrance had chipped paint down to bare wood in spots, which did not reflect the lovely interior of the house. Neither the light over the stove nor the light over the main floor's bathroom sink worked. (We didn't bring it to the attention of our contact while we were there and should have.) Otherwise, everything worked very well. They take pains to explain how to operate everything in the house, which I have never seen such detailed instructions for every component in the house before but it is helpful.

Stayed Aug 24, 2024We loved our stay on Lady Slipper Lane! The house was clean, very comfortable, and in a great location. Our only complaints seemed to be due to the house being a new rental. Pros: within a 5 min drive/ 10 min walk to 3 beaches. Two were private with free parking and one was public where parking is $20 a day. We loved the convenience of being so close. The house is also very close to Chatham Center and Harwich so lots of options for restaurants, sightseeing, ice cream cones, grocery/ liquor stores, etc. We enjoyed many hours on the back porch overlooking the stunning marsh view. There were no bugs and the bird watching was great! The house was serene and private. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower (although a place to hang towels would be good), grill, and all the games provided. Cons: Check-in is pretty late and although the house was very clearly ready for us the property manager wouldn't let us in until 30 minutes prior. The driveway is pretty steep and could be tricky with larger cars. The thermostat/ ac was hard to figure out and there weren't a ton of clear instructions. The TV in one of the bedrooms didn't work and when we texted/ called the property manager to have it addressed we never heard back from them to fix it. The coffee maker was broken and there were very minimal cooking supplies (bring your own spices, tinfoil, tupperwear, etc!). Lastly we had a family member bring her dog for 2 days and we were charged for the full week with no flexibility.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024The home was fantastic. We felt like we were on vacation even when we were 'just at home.' Del Mar was very easy to work with, too.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Really enjoyed our stay, for the most part everything was perfect, but there were some issues. The wifi was working great earlier in the week, but then became almost unusable. Host was really responsive and we rebooted the equipment, but the performance never really recovered. Also the outdoor shower was out of service, which was a real bummer when coming back from the beach, and was never disclosed as being unavailable. Overall though the property was clean, the check-in process was great, and the views, neighborhood, and location were fantastic. Highly recommend!
