Stunning Lake Placid family friendly cozy wooded townhome minutes from town

Great hosts with and exceptional condo! Perfect place for two parents and two teens to spread out and have their own space/bathrooms. Basement family room is made for cozy movie nights. Kitchen has everything you need and more! Super clean! Easy access to Whiteface and Lake Placid. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This townhouse is beautiful and comfortable. We’ve stayed at a lot of places, and Colleen and Mark thought of things that other hosts didn’t, like Tupperware for leftovers! Colleen was very communicative and a pleasure to deal with. We’d definitely stay here again.

This home is was one of the best experiences we’ve had yet. Everything you need to be comfortable is provided. The kitchen is well stocked and very functional. The living room with the fireplace and floor to ceiling windows was the perfect place for everyone to sit, relax, and socialize. The quality snd decor really set this home above any others we have stayed in. It was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The owners were very helpful and super accessible before, during, and after our stay. I can’t say enough good about this house! Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed with two other couples to celebrate some birthdays. Colleen and Mark were excellent hosts and were very responsive to any questions we had prior to our stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, cozy and immaculate and has everything you would possibly need- towels, dish detergent, hairdryers, and plenty of bakeware and cookware to use. We are all foodies and really appreciated that as we were able to make an amazing breakfast on Saturday morning.Our favorite part of the day was coming back to the house after a long day of strolling through Lake Placid, having a few cocktails, playing games while enjoying the wonderful fireplace. We will definitely come back to this beautiful home and hopefully stay an additional day so we can squeeze in some skiing too.

Our family had a really wonderful stay at the Townhome. Every part of the home was spotless. It was truly a pleasure.

The place was more than clean - immaculate! The kitchen was very well supplied - everything you could need and then some. Location was great - very quiet and close to great hiking trails and Lake Placid Main street for restaurants and shopping. We only had three people, so had plenty of room to stretch out. Highly recommend.

This is our second stay in this beautiful townhouse and it’s been perfect for our family long weekends in the High Peaks area. This home is well furnished and very clean, and check in/out is quick and easy. We will be back!

Our family had a great time here!! Everything was clean, new and in prefect shape. There was enough room for everyone to be together or to take some time on their own if needed. It was a very spacious home and we never felt cramped. Super clean, quiet and cozy! Access in and out of the home was easy and super convenient. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, plus it had many extras!! We will definitely stay again!!!

I can't recommend Rustic Retreat enough for a stay in Lake Placid. Comfortable, cozy and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities. There was more than enough room for our party of six to spread out and relax and we all loved hanging out in the main floor living room with the wonderful fireplace. Colleen was great to deal with and her welcome package is very informative. Located just outside of downtown Lake Placid, it is very convenient to all of the Olympic venues as well as getting to the surrounding towns in the area. Definitely a great place to stay!

A wonderful property, set in a quiet private part of Lake Placid. Everything was perfect, we would recommend to anyone.

The home exceeded our expectations - it was so lovely and well equipped. When we stayed in for dinner, the kitchen allowed us to enjoy a delicious dinner. We look forward to returning next year.

One of the best Vrbo homes we’ve come across! Clean, comfortable, and so well stocked. We were very impressed with all of the kitchen supplies…they have wine stoppers! The owner has thought of everything and communication was fantastic.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was close to town but just far enough for some peace and quiet. Loved the screened in porch and listening to the birds. Very well stocked all around and Colleen was super accommodating to all our needs.

The house was even better than we expected! Highly recommend staying there!
