Great home and space. This home has everything you need. Being able to walk down to the river and fish and float was a huge bonus. The outdoor patios and sunsets were perfect. We will be back as this was a great relaxing weekend.

The house was just as advertised. Fantastic. Quiet yet close to many attractions. It was a great summer vacation.

The home has plenty of room for a family or group to spread out and have fun. The kids enjoyed the outdoor open space, the swing, the game tables, and the jacuzzi. We all enjoyed the view of the deer running through the open field. The jacuzzi was nice, the outdoor space was welcoming, minus the wasps that tried to get on our food—nothing a little bug spray couldn't solve. The home was clean, although we did see quite a bit of droppings on the windowsills, but the owner said they have never had an issue with mice. I am unsure if an insect left it, but we never saw mice. We did see a cricket that made its way into the house, but that was it. I will admit, this made it hard for me to relax and sleep at night. We were worried that pests would come out at night. As a precaution, we re-cleaned every dish before using it, so that part was not relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes, a blender, a toaster oven, a coffee maker, and grilling utensils. The creek on the property is about a 3-minute walk. We could see the fish swimming around, which my kids loved. It was a nice spot to snap a few photos. The host was very responsive to our texts and helpful. The separate suite was an excellent place for my elderly mother to stay. Although the kitchen and living room are upstairs, we easily drove my mother around to the front driveway so she could join us in the upstairs spaces (the front porch has about 3-4 steps, much more manageable than a complete set of stairs) Overall, a good stay and a lovely home. Memories were made.

Enjoy Ed the quiet beautiful countryside…

We gathered for a family graduation in Wimberley. The house is on great property and has river access! We had 8 people and two small dogs. There was a bed for everyone. We especially liked the efficiency quarters down by the carport. The decks were a great place to have a cup of tea and enjoy the view. The only negative we found were the locks were difficult to get in and out of with the code, and the kitchen cookware could use a refresh, many were old and over used. Overall, , everything was great! We would stay here again! Thanks.

We had a fantastic time cycling in and around Wimberley and this beautiful house was a wonderful homebase for the weekend. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out including the awesome separate guest room. Great room and kitchen was a fantastic place for all of us to hang out. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderfully spacious and equipped. We had a blast on the large decks and down by the river!! Convenient to attractions and we would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to relax, have fun and for those looking for a great time in Wimberly shopping.

This vacation rental was amazing. Plenty of room for family to stretch out and visit. Comfortable beds, clean house, and had everything you needed for cooking l. Had an issue to door locks. The management company was amazing and got us in asap. I would definitely stay here again.

This was an absolutely perfect home for girls' weekend. Everything was just as described, and the pictures were accurate. It was even better in person. We LOVED the property, the kitchen and living spaces, and the outdoor spaces as well. The opportunity to have a washer and dryer was a perk that we took advantage of after our time in the hot tub. I would HIGHLY recommend this for your next big gathering. We will definitely return next year!

Beautiful, comfortable, and spacious home, with everything you need for a home away from home vacation. Adults and kids all loved our stay.

River is perfect for small children.

Grand River Retreat is an oasis! I LOVE the huge back deck, with a view of the Blanco River, wildlife, and Devil’s Backbone in the distance. For coffee in the morning, or glasses of wine in the evening, it’s perfect! The BEST sunsets ever! Easy access to river and plenty of room for extended families. The remodeled kitchen is awesome! Grand Rover Retreat even has a one bedroom guest house with a kitchenette for those who want more privacy. Perfect for grandparents. This magnificent house is great for all seasons - with a large fire pit, it makes winter evenings cozier. Love this place! I will be back!

Loved being able to go down to the Blanco with the kids, close to Wimberly where there are all sorts of fun things to do. Waking up and seeing the deer outside will make any kids day.
