lincolnville, Maine
I am beginning my seventh summer hosting--it is so fabulous to meet guests from all over the world once again. Read the reviews and come stay and you will love it.
Note:: I do not take check-ins later than 7:30 pm. (with some exceptions) Check-in is from 4-7:30 pm., unless we've made other arrangements. I ask my guests to remember this when booking, as there have been instances where guests don't realize or notice the timing. I am somewhat flexible in rare situations, but just need to know my guests ETA.
My home is a 5 minute drive to Lincolnville Beach, a sweet small town beach (see photos) with a Lobster Pound, a Lobster Shack, a Pub, ferry and a few gift shops. Also nearby are Ducktrap River, Camden Harbor, Belfast Harbor, Megunticook Lake. Lots of areas for hiking, both hard and easy hikes. The property is located midcoast for easy day trips to Portland, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill There are many festivals, farmer's markets and fabulous restaurants and shopping. There are schooner trips from Camden Harbor, boat trips from Belfast, local fishing. My home is about 2 miles from Lincolnville Beach. .There are also many places to rent kayaks and bicycles. In the morning, I have coffee, tea and often a baked good...time permitting. Note: I have a two-day minimum reservation and a 7 night maximum reservation. I do not accept pets, please do not ask.
The Guest Studio is inside my home and totally private with several rooms and spaces between the Studio and kitchen, bathroom and my room. There is a private entrance. There seems to be a bit of confusion this year as inquires have been about a cottage. I have had the same description for 7 years...I call the space a "Studio" as it is two rooms combined, but open. The Studio living room is at one end of the studio with a gas Jotul stove for cool nights and Queen bed at the other end, and skylights. The pictures are very accurate. There is a window air conditioner, ceiling fan and sliding doors with a screen.
The guest studio, has current photos -- many guests are surprised at the size and that the space actually looks as it does in the photos.
Quite homestead indeed. Lovely studio apartment with a European hostel vibe. Victoria was a gracious hostess who provided a caring and warm experience. The bed was very comfortable and our stay was very relaxing.
I would have to say the property was exactly as described. I would have to say I was a little put off by my first face to face interaction with the host. To her credit, Victoria sent step-by-step directions to her home and to avoid using your GPS. What I didn't like was she spent the vey first two or three minutes of conversation reminding me that she had sent specific directions and that I obviously disregarded them. Not a good way to start a stay after a long drive. The rest of our stay went fine and Victoria did her best.
Victoria had all our questions answered even before we could ask them!! She provided lists (via email AND hard copies in our suite!) of where to dine out, where to buy food/groceries, and even suggestions for entertainment. AND there was an abundance of the ever important COFFEE ?
Victoria’s studio was so peaceful and comfortable. It was a quick drive to the places we wanted to see. She was a great host, nice to talk to and very knowledgeable about the area and restaurants. We should have gone with one of her restaurant recommendations but will definitely visit Primo on our next trip.
Great location and very friendly host.
I enjoyed my stay in Victoria’s studio. Everything about the experience was comfortable.I loved the environment inside and out and the location was convenient to a variety of places to explore. When I stayed in, I could relax in total peace as well as watch the frequent visits from hummingbirds! Enjoy!
In the woods & peaceful
We had a wonderful time in Lincolnville Maine. The property was very clean and comfortable. The Hostess was wonderful, gracious, considerate and knowledgeable about the area. The home was off the beaten path and offered peace and quiet!! My wife an I will definitely be back.
This VRBO is nestled in the woods up a dirt road and off the beaten path but is within an easy driving distance of everything we wanted to do. The “studio” room is spacious and attractive with a comfortable bed, two comfortable chairs, a table and two chairs and an efficient propane “wood” stove. The floor to ceiling windows on the back look out into the woods, with hummingbirds fluttering around the feeder. We had our own exclusive entrance to our studio room and could come and go without interacting with the owner; although when we wanted to interact with her, she was engaging, friendly and most helpful. Victoria is a marvelous hostess, providing little niceties (such as pumpkin bread and excellent coffee) that made our stay special. She provided very valuable recommendations about things to do and places to eat. She was most accommodating to our schedule with respect to sharing the bathroom and kitchen with her. Our stay was very enjoyable
Nice private studio bedroom. Very friendly and helpful host, and accommodating to our needs.
The owner was very nice to meet and engaging in conversation. She is well versed in the local area and provided guidance toward eating establishments.
The area was quiet and natural--perfect for a refreshing, weekend getaway. Victoria was clear and comforting in her communication from the time we booked the spot until we left. We're both grateful to have had the chance to stay here. It just makes us want to go to Maine more often :)
We enjoyed the studio very much. The host was super hospitable and very clear about what is for guests and what is her personal stuff. Clean! Great AC! On a quiet back road. Just down the road from great restaurants, which V gave helpful reviews for! So much to do nearby. It was a lovely getaway and we enjoyed our time at this studio very much!!
Lovely, clean guest suite, tasteful decor. Our host was absolutely awesome, I wish we could have taken her home with us!
Overall, it was a fine visit - as advertised and more. The large studio room looking out into the deep woods, was clean, quiet, comfortable, nicely furnished and spacious. I brought some office work along and was able to complete that efficiently thanks to an excellent internet connection. The hostess provided a light breakfast, plenty of refrigerator space for food necessities plus good information about local restaurants and attractions. I appreciate her efforts to make my visit pleasant and problem free. She also makes an excellent ginger cookie!
Victoria’s home was a charming property, super close to Lincolnville Beach. We stayed in a clean, beautiful guest property that was a separate attachment to her home. We shared a kitchen and bathroom which was no issue at all. She went above and beyond to provide amenities and local recommendations that other rentals would not. Victoria was not only a host, she became our friend. If you stay at this property, please don’t get too busy and miss the opportunity to get to know such a wonderful person! Thank you so much again, Victoria! I am so glad our paths have crossed :)
A great spot ideally located between Camden and Belfast, 2 minutes from Lincolnville Beach (and McLaughlin's Lobster Shack) and 10 minutes (or less) from excellent hiking in Camden Hills State Park. The studio is very nice, bed is comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, and Victoria is an excellent host.
