Overall a great stay for the family. The house was a perfect size for our family of 4 and appeared to be relatively well maintained with the right amount of old rustic charm. The lake water was a perfect temperature for swimming and the small stream adjacent to the property provided soothing nighttime sounds in the 2nd bedroom. Two minor complaints: 1. There was a musty odor in the 2nd bedroom (with the twin beds) that appeared to be coming from the carpet. 2. While the kitchen cabinets were packed with stuff the selection of the basics (i.e. pots and pans) was very limited. Many of the kitchen items were worn or of poor quality. (i.e, the kitchen knives were dull and flimsy). The kitchen could go for a reorgnization and cleanout/replacement of old and worn items. However, those were minor issues to the overall experience and we would stay again.
Wonderful location on Norton Pond. Well kept cottage. Very comfortable. Minutes to Camden and good restaurants. Truly an escape from urban life.
