SPECIAL HOLIDAY OFFER (For stays between Nov 18 - Dec 28):
StoryBook Glade is excited to announce an exciting opportunity with Mt. Hood Railroad. Our property will be featured as Santa's Home for the Christmas train. The house will be decorated beautifully, and there will be a sleigh on the front lawn. Guests will NOT be disembarking from the train and entering the property; however, the program calls for Santa to wave and then walk out to board the train. The excursion will run 2 - 5 times depending on the day. Each stop takes about 10 minutes. If you want to see more details and all the scheduled times, please visit their website and click "Book Now" at: https://www.mthoodrr.com/train-rides/the-train-to-christmas-town/ If you decide to book a reservation at StoryBook Glade between Nov 18 to December 28, we would like to offer all the members of your group complimentary tickets to experience the Christmas train for yourselves. After booking, when you receive a welcome email from the owners, you can express your interest
We were two families staying while our kids did ski camp over the Holidays. House was great. Kitchen is beyond well stocked and we made some fantastic meals. Plenty of room, warm and cozy and we even had a visit from Santa and Ms Clause bc the Holiday train was running. It was great in the winter and we all commented it would be even better in Summer when the orchard was leafed out!
We rented the house for our family when we came to the area for a family wedding. It worked our great! Beautiful location, perfect set up for a large group and clean!! Can’t wait to come back!
The home and grounds are lovely. We especially loved the front porch with rockers and the large kitchen/dining area. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.
The house is well taken care of. It was very clean and well stocked. You can tell the owners pay close attention to detail. On a road trip, I usually bring my own towel because most times hotel towels are not great. The towels at this place were just as good as the one I brought. This is just an example of the many good quality amenities that this home supplied. I will definately seek to rent again. Loved it.
We had a girls' getaway at Storybook Glade. The home is charming and historic. The beds were great and the kitchen is well equipped. Lots of games and puzzles for rainy days. For the not-so-rainy days, the home is within walking distance of the Gorge White House (check for opening days/times), The Fruit Company, and the Mt. Hood Winery. The Mt. Hood Railway goes right past the front of the house. The owners and Evolve were responsive and easy to work with. The property should be beautiful when it's time for the trees in the surrounding orchard to blossom. I am a travel advisor, and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to clients.
Loved porch sitting in between running back and forth to wedding venue up the road-awesome!
This is a beautiful historical property! We booked this house and another up Fir Mountain Road for a family of 20, ages 88 down to 3 months old. This house does not allow dogs, so we ended up having most of our main meals at the other house. We had leisurely mornings in the kitchen and living area. The front room is very cozy! The views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood are spectacular! It was decorated for Christmas and we were given complimentary tickets to the Christmas Train, which rolled right past the house. I would rent this house again, but think it might be hot in the summer as there were some drafty areas. There are crisp white cotton linens on the beds. Bathrooms were very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. If you don't like Keurig, bring your own maker, there is not a regular coffee pot. Also, we do lots of cooking, and the one chef's knife was quite dull.
Our stay at Storybook Glade was a delightful one. The house is beautiful and well appointed for a large group of people. We loved being smack dab in the orchards and the train running just in front of the house was a thrill for the grandkids! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. We use the grill out in the back and dined outside enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain until the sun began setting, then we all moved to the front porch rocking chairs to be awed by the gorgeous sunsets!
Loved this property. The home is charming with plenty of space and a nice area to sit outside. The location is spectacular, settled in the vineyards and snow on Mt Hood in the distance. The home was large enough for my family, and my brother's family as well. We were 4 and our 5 children, (mainly grown) between us. The kitchen was very well equipped, although we didn't cook at the home, aside from breakfast, as we were in town for our niece's wedding. I would highly recommend.
We stayed for our daughters wedding. StiryBook Glade was a perfect retreat!!!
Our daughter got married at Mountain View Orchards and this home was a great home base for the weekend of wedding activities. The home has everything you could need! We really enjoyed our Storybook Glade
Home was very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Perfect for a group of 10 people ages 5 to 78. Kids played in the yard and adults walked over to the winery for wine tasting. Very convenient to Hood River. And we loved the apple sauce. Thanks for the stay.
