Great setting. Hot tub was perfect! Very well stocked with towels and pillows.

This was a nice little cottage in the woods. Very clean. Flowing brook right next to cabin.

We loved the Stoney Brook Cottage. The listing was completely accurate. The home was nice, easy to get to and convenient to so many things. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was great. The hot tub was so relaxing after a good meal in nearby Hendersonville. It was nice to get away and relax.

Stony Brook Cottage had not been cleaned well. There is a big problem with mice. Several lamps didn’t work. No spoons in the kitchen. Those are the negatives. The property, however, is situated on a gorgeous piece of land with a stream and woods for two elementary age boys to run around in. The hot tub was clean and had different temperature controls. They thoroughly enjoyed the game room. We had a wonderful time.

The cabin itself is lovely—very clean, well-equipped (especially with linens and kitchen items), and the paved road and driveway are a big plus for a mountain property. That said, our stay was significantly impacted by a lack of communication regarding winter storm risks. Severe winter weather was forecast for our stay, and I contacted the host in advance to ask about the weather policy and potential issues. Based on the response, we felt comfortable proceeding. Upon arrival, we learned from the host’s father who came to the property shortly after we arrived that a power outage was likely, that the cabin would have no water without power due to being on a well, that the gas fireplace was not working (having a fireplace was important to us so I reached out specifically to ask if it was woodburning like the photos or gas as described), and that the propane tank for heating the lower level was low (which was later filled). We were cautioned that we could potentially be stuck at the cabin for several days and were strongly encouraged to leave, which we did. This information would have been critical to know before traveling. Additionally, several listing photos are not accurate. Appliances, the hot tub, indoor and outdoor furniture, and the fireplace photos do not reflect what is actually at the cabin. The host was responsive to direct questions quickly, but more proactive communication about weather-related limitations and updated listing photos would have been appreciated.

Great little cottage in a beautiful location, close to great hiking and waterfalls! The house had all the basics and the owners were quick to answer any questions. Very comfortable king bed upstairs. Hot tub a great extra. We will be back!

Beautiful home that is perfect for family's. We will definitely be visiting again! David is an awesome host! The house is perfectly located to town and trails. Even my 4 year old told us she love it!

Simple and rustic, but has everything you need. Small touches like a selection of spices in the kitchen and extra towels in the bathrooms were appreciated.

The stairs going upstairs were very steep. It was difficult to move items upstairs and downstairs. The bottom floor had a musky smell as well. The cabin is in a great location. I have stayed in Babbling Brook and Falling Waters cabins previously. They are fantastic!

Conveniently located between Brevard and Hendersonville. Clean and well-equipped.

The picture did not accurately depict the place. After reserving the place, we got the list of cleaning that was expected to be done when we left. They place itself needed a good deep cleaning! After paying a cleaning fee, I did not expect to have to change the bedding for the next person. It also stated, to use the hot tub, you needed to read the info, and sign a form, which were not any place to be found. The road to get to the house was very narrow. Room for 1 and a half cars, so it was a nerve-wracking, getting to and from the house. The owner stated that the key would be left on the dining room table, but it took us about an hour to find where it really was. The kitchen faucets were installed backwards, and there was no mat mat inside the tub, which made it slippery when standing in the tub. If these issues were addressed, and updated photos posted, it would be a lovely place to stay. The place is 2 stories, so if you are elderly, you might find it hard to climb the stairs. There are also little drop offs, from one room to another, that should be marked, as I almost feel more than once. I don't know if the owner lives out of the area, and has someone oversee the places, but if that is the case, they had better find someone new!

Wonderful stay and very private. Loved the hot tub! The host was very quick to respond to any questions and we had an amazing time.

Great location for our waterfall trip.

The cabin was excellent all the way around! Very close to our family that live in Brevard and to Pisgah National Forest. I especially appreciated the well stocked dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, bath soap, towels and trash bags. We will definitely rent one of your cabins again, as we realized you own all the ones around there. Thanks so much!

Great house, great location! Our girls especially loved the stream and caught lots of lizards. Loce being able to bring our pups as well. We already booked again for next year!

This cabin was a great weekend stay. The cabin itself was very dated (old appliances in the kitchen), but it was super well kept up, and the important things had been updated (bathrooms, beds). It was a great fit for the two of us and our dog. We didn't get a chance to use all the amenities as we had a great time exploring the area. We will definitely be back. The only downside is there wasn't a grassy yard for our dog to use, but we made it work.

Perfect location for a weekend of waterfalls hunting! We enjoyed it, and will be back!!

Quite and relaxing would definitely stay again

Everything was perfect! The cottage had tons of space...indoors and out. The host provided everything i needed. Such peace and quiet, but loved the babbling brook. Ill definitely come back to Stoney Brook!!!

This was a Fantastic place to stay. Did have stairs but was a great get away. Bathroom on each floorPlenty of space. Porch was relaxing and hot tub was nice of course. Will look for this place next time.

The check in process was easy. Property Manager was responsive and the house was clean and well maintained.

We loved our stay at this adorable mountain cottage! We came to hike and see the waterfalls that Brevard is known for. The cottage was perfect for our family of 5 … plenty of space, three outdoor areas to enjoy the quiet woods and babbling brook right next to the cottage. We enjoyed the hot tub every night and sitting on the porch to sip coffee in the mornings. Very clean, has a well equipped kitchen, plenty of extra towels and towels for the hot tub as well. Laundry conveniently located. Comfy beds and pillows and everything we needed.Locally, we had a great meal and drinks at Ecusta Brewery (less than 20 min away) and had beautiful hikes to the Pisagah National Forest and DuPont State Recreational Forest. Highlights were: Looking Glass Falls, Triple Falls, Hooker Falls, High Falls, and Moore Cove Falls. Brevard has a lovely downtown and we enjoyed the pizza at Big Mike’s and sweet treats and coffee at the Bracken Mountain Bakery. We highly recommend this cottage and a visit to this beautiful part of the Blue Ridge Mountain range!

We had a great time during our stay. There was a great deal of space and it was very easy to find.

Our stay was wonderful. This property is just as described. Cozy, cute and close to where we wanted to be. It was clean, accommodating and the best bang for our buck.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was everything we needed and the scenery was excellent.

This is a nice place to stay. It is an older cabin but in good shape. The only thing that should be better explained is that the grill is one you would find at a park.

Loved the property! It was well stocked with coffee, tea, sugar & creamer. We really enjoyed the outside seatings areas. Comfy furniture, nice decor. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice cabin - stairs may be a problem to some since it is on TWO levels. Not in the country so you have neighbors but you can't really see or hear them the brook is VERY small except when it rains - then it has a nice rush. The front porch is nice to sit on - kitchen is fully stocked. We had a lovely stay

Loved Stoneybrook retreat. Very relaxing with the sounds of a stream that can b heard from both balconies/levels. Supplied with cool books, and games and puzzles to entertain. The only negative was visible signs and smell of previous pets. Still very much enjoyed our stay.
