Stayed Mar 25, 2024We needed a fairly long term rental in the San Diego area and we were lucky this property was available. We really enjoyed our stay at this awesome beach house located just 2 blocks from one of the nicest beaches in Del Mar. The house is located on a quiet street in a very friendly neighborhood and was the perfect fit for our family...beautiful living area with great lighting and open floor plan, large master suite and an epic rooftop deck with comfortable seating, BBQ and great views. An added bonus was that we were able to have our two golden retrievers with us for part of our trip and we really enjoyed the short walk (5 minutes) to the famous Del Mar dog beach, which was the perfect place for our dogs to run around, meet other pups and play in the water. Another perk of the location is that just a few hundred feet away (follow the trail across the train tracks) is the liquid bean cafe, which has excellent coffee, acai bowls, breakfast burritos, etc. Speaking of the train, the property is right next to the train tracks and there are trains that pass by a 2 - 3 times at night but as the owner said you really do get used to the sound after the first couple of nights so this was no big deal for our family. We have stayed at a number of rentals over the years in the San Diego area (La Jolla, Solana Beach, Encinitas) and this was by the far the best rental we have stayed at before...highly recommend!
