Steps to Surfside Beach: Large Group Gulf Retreat

The house was amazing, which lead to an incredible weekend with my family. Any negatives were caused by nature. The mosquitos were crazy active around the porch so bring some citronella candles and bug spray! Also, bring bottled water, if you aren't use to well water.

We liked the location and the floorplan of the house very much and it was a good fit for our family. However, the pantry was locked and inaccessible and most of the kitchen cabinets were filled with dishes, cookware, etc. Therefore, we had no place to put our groceries except on the kitchen countertops so there was very little room for food prep. The sheets in an upstairs bedroom were soiled and dirty. The queen bed sheets had what looked like dried semen on them so they had to be washed and dried before they could be slept on. Also, the bathroom floor in that bedroom had not been cleaned, as there was hair all over the floor. A thunderstorm came up the 2nd night and tripped the breaker for one of one of the downstairs bedrooms…we weren’t able to find a breaker box anywhere so we assumed it may have been in one of the locked closets.Overall we had a great time but you should be aware that the housekeeping for the property was definitely not up to par so that was disappointing.

Great place for a large family to gather! We loved staying in this home. It was clean & had everything we needed for our stay.Management (Janet) went above & beyond to accommodate our needs. She was easily accessible via text message and responded quickly.We plan to return next year for our annual family get together. Highly recommend!

The home is simply wonderful. Our grandchildren liked their beds a lot. The atmosphere was perfect for our family, and the kitchen was amply stocked with utensils needed except for the frying pans. We sent an email and also reached out via phone. We had to leave a voicemail. Unfortunately, we received no response.

This is a lovely and spacious property that accommodated our family gathering well. It has a comfortable beds and a large kitchen for making meals with plenty of cookware and dishes. It could use some kitchen towels and light blankets for the couches. The outside shower for rinsing after the beach has both hot and cold water, and we never ran out of hot water while taking showers for our group of 14.

This is our third year renting the same house and obviously we love it. Great beach access, great open space, plenty of beds and bathrooms and all the amenities we need. We will be back next year!

We had a great time at this beach house! Everything was very easy and management was very responsive.

We stayed for Easter weekend. Home was a quick walk to the beach and convenient to go back and forth. Kitchen was great as it had just about everything we needed to cook with. Could have used some sharper knives and scissors. There were no actual wine glasses, but otherwise had everything you needed. Biggest plus was a bathroom in each bedroom. All and all a great house.

This house is, hands down, the best for large family gatherings. There is everything and anything you need in this huge impressive kitchen. There is plenty of fridge and freezer room, no problem seating your entire family and then some, games galore and each bedroom has its own bathroom.It doesn't get any better than this one!!Everything in this house, including the decor, is top of the line. What you see in the pics is what you get and more. It was perfect for our blended family Thanksgiving and we hope to make this hidden treasure a family tradition ❤️ ?.

9 women stayed here for a long weekend, and it was WONDERFUL! We had plenty of space and the house was beautiful and clean. Janet is one of the best hosts - she was helpful and responsive. The little extras like saving a huge refrigerator and a well-stocked kitchen made this a five star experience.

We’ve stayed here before, so knew what it was like - works well so that family groups had their bathroom, no need to drag all your stuff in and out each time

The house was large enough to hold all 17 of us. The only thing lacking was a covered porch. It was nice to have all the cookware there - they only thing I took extra was a griddle to do pancakes on. There was beach toys for the kids to play with and we even added to their collection. Tropical Storm Alberto could not keep us from enjoying ourselves with our kids and grandkids!!
