Steps to Chatham Center & Lighthouse Beach - charming home with central AC

A great house in a great location. We’ve stayed several times previously, and look forward to coming again.

A beautiful home in the perfect location.

We had a lovely time. Great location. The master bedroom downstairs is very bright in the morning bc of the skylights. It would be helpful to have shades.

The house is charming and well kept, but we encountered issues resulting in the 2 stars. When we arrived, unbeknownst to us but known to the owners, the previous tenants had clogged one of the toilets. One of my family members used the toilet, which was close to overflowing. As a result, we couldn't use any of the toilets. We dealt with a handy man and then a plumber from 4:00 to near 9:00 p.m. We were forced to stay at the house (this was our first night and after a long day of travel). Fortunately, the plumbing issue was fixed. The next day I texted the owners about a black ant infestation in the kitchen that had overtaken baked goods I had brought for the kids' breakfasts that morning, who responded that it was normal, indicating they also knew about this issue but no warnings or other indications were left for guests. So after being held captive our first night, my children were without breakfast our first morning. Third, although the listing indicates a regular (drip) coffee maker is available, and we brought filters and coffee for this purpose, none was found. When I contacted the owners, I was required to search through their musty basement to locate an extra coffee maker, and then clean the coffee maker (as it had been stored (for who knows how long) in the basement), before I could use it. After all of this no compensation by way of a discount, comped night, or even a late checkout was offered. Not even a thank you. If I were you, I'd look elsewhere for a rental.

The property was clean and easy walk to everything. Hosts were excellent to work with, great communication. Thank you for letting us stay in your home .

Great house in perfect location…walk to shops and Chatham Light. Lots of comfy seating areas and plenty of bathrooms. Would highly recommend.

My, husband, son, brother and I stayed at this property. We absolutely loved everything about it--the size, furnishings, kitchen, access to downtown Chatham and the ocean, the parking, the hosts, etc. We come to Chatham several times a year because we have children and grandchildren in town. This is absolutely the most lovely and most convenient house we have rented. I hope it is available for our next visit.

Property was as listed. Convenient location on Main Street, clean, comfortable, and well appointed . We enjoyed walking Main Street and a short walk to the Lighthouse.

Very comfortable, clean and homey! Fabulous location, easy walking access to stores & restaurants. And quiet! New 2nd floor deck great for fresh air and stargazing.

We had a wonderful two weeks visiting Chatham & Cape Cod and this property was the perfect home base. The house is situation in the perfect location with convenient access to town, beaches, and walkable historic neighborhoods. Our kids (4yo, 6yo) enjoyed regular trips to Buffy's ice cream and Chatham Candy Manor while my wife and I enjoy coffee/breakfast runs to Chatham Cookware and lunch/dinner at The Squire. We walked to Andrew Hardings & Lighthouse Beaches many days and tried to find the oldest house in Chatham walking through School Street and beyond. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We had plenty of room to spread out and always had what we needed. We spent lots of meals and time in the sunroom off the kitchen. Responsive and welcoming hosts. Definitely will be back again
