Quirky comfortable convenient Right across the street from Lover’s Point. Easy stroll into downtown Pacific Grove.TV in the back bedroom is a different choice of places to mount a TV…..but it’s big and worked well for us.Kitchen things all worked well. We would stay there again.

Great ocean view from front porch - easy walking distance to many things. The host was easily reachable and responded very promptly. The only thing that could be improved upon is that the main bed has quite a dip in the middle of the mattress, so those prone to back & neck issues beware.

Excellent location! This property is lovely and located right by the water. We had a lovely view of the sea from our kitchen table! Beautiful artwork throughout the home. Very well appointed kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals when we wanted to relax with dinner by the fire. Beds were very comfortable and we absolutely LOVED the backyard garden area with the fountain. This bungalow provided a relaxing and beautiful girls getaway weekend in a stunning location. We walked for hours by the sea, did the 17 mile drive, shopped in the little antique shops, visited the aquarium 1 mile away, and experienced delicious meals in wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed this stay so much!!

We (two friends) had a wonderful stay at this sweet little house just down the street from the bay. James was just great with communication, very responsive and helpful. The layout of the house worked great for us, and the beds were comfortable (the pillows were quite large and firm, which might be ideal for others but we did wish for pillows a bit softer/flatter). The kitchen is well outfitted and the shower has a great head and plenty of hot water. Lots of towels provided. The front windows give a truly special view straight out to the bay, and one of us, an artist, worked at the table by the windows every morning. The location just can't be beat — wonderful for going right out to the recreation trail, for running, and for walking to and from restaurants. We really treasured our time here and will definitely hope to stay here again in the future!

cute little home so close to wonderful Pacific Grove coastal trail. Home was built in 1932 but was upgraded and offered very easy access, two nice comfortable beds, modern kitchen, laundry (which we didn't use) and a clean, fully functional bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Fron dining table was at the corner of the front room and featured ocean views out both corner windows. Furniture was all antique but comfortable. No TV in the main room, only in the back bedroom but we moved a chair from one room to the other to watch some evening programs. Home is very quiet inside and the neighborhood quiet as well. Nice but little garden spot in the back with a large fountain. Monterey Bay was a bit stormy while we were there but it made for some great photos. Owner was super easy to deal with and responded quickly to my inquiries. We parked on the street out front but there is a narrow driveway on the property that could easily fit a small compact car. We will definitely consider this home again in the future.

Time slowed during our five day stay in PG. The house was furnished with very comfortable beds and furniture and was beautifully decorated to place you back in Pacific Grove's early days but equipped with all the modern conveniences. Lover's Point was a three minute walk, and the downtown shops and restaurants a ten minute walk. We enjoyed the back patio. Communication made our stay easy. Thanks, James!

Check-in instructions were provided well in advance and were clear and easy to understand. The home was spotless. One of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept on. Had coffee on the front porch while looking out over the bay and watching a herd of deer walk up the street in front of the house. I am already making plans to stay there again.

Beautiful stay, truly steps from the beach -- we could watch the sunrise over the water. The home had lovely character, it was comfortable for our stay - two adults. Very clean, with nice touches from the host. Kitchen was well equipped, with some spices, etc. available in the cabinet. A couple of things to note - we missed the fact that one bedroom is only accessible through the other. I was traveling with a friend and we didn't mind, but it might not work for everyone, depending on your group. Also, we didn't use the TV but if that's important to you in the evenings it is in one of the bedrooms, not the common area. The shopping district is a block or two away, there was a Monday farmers market when we arrived and there are plenty of cute shops and restaurants.Great access to Big Sur, 17 Mile Drive, etc. Would stay here again!

This was our second stay here and it was great! The location/view can't be beat. The back patio area was delightful. Parking in front of the house was never an issue, and our stay was during a very busy Monterey Car Week! Communication with the owner was superb. Three houses down to the bay, beach & coastal walking path. Short walking distance to Cannery Row. Mid-way between 17 Mile Dr (Carmel/Point Lobos) and the historic Old Fisherman’s Wharf for whale-watching. Grand St. is not a typical through-street so easy parking with limited traffic and sidewalk traffic. Lots of privacy. The house is Victorian-style inside, but the LR sofa & chair are very comfortable. The LR table by the window provides a good work space & views of the bay. Despite being a historic home, there are multiple electric outlets in every room & good internet/TV connections. The kitchen is well-supplied, but we only used it for ready-made items & reheating leftovers from our daily restaurant meal. The house has a cozy ambiance with gas fireplace & accent lighting at night in LR & outside back patio. The bathroom has a very large, deep open space in the middle section of the built-in cabinet that holds all needed toiletries. Two important things to be aware of: 1. The 2 very comfortable bedrooms are connected - the queen bedroom has doors to the LR, the double-bed sized BDR, & the bathroom. The double BDR (with a large pullout wall TV screen) only has a door to the queen BDR (close to the bath). The bath also has a door to the kitchen. 2. The bathroom has a sink and a claw-ft bathtub. If you have any mobility/balance issues, it may be a little challenging to get out. The 3-sided wall next to the tub can be held to help. ENJOY…WE LOVED OUR STAY!
