This adobe sanctuary located on three acres in the sought-after community of Casas de San Juan is the ideal spot for a quiet and luxurious visit to Santa Fe.

Tesuque is located just north of Santa Fe and this property is adjacent to the world-famous Santa Fe Opera.

Approximately 5,000 sq ft of living space will be found in the main house with a separate casita. This property boasts 360-degree views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, New Mexico Badlands, and Atalaya Peak, all with wonderful privacy in a community with a 24-hour gatekeeper.

Enter the front gate to this home and you are greeted with a lovely front patio with rock garden and fountain. As you walk into the home, you will be mesmerized with fabulous views off the back Grand Portal.

The main house has three bedrooms (the casita makes it four total), four baths, a kiva room, and a meditation/workout room with five fireplaces and wonderful outdoor space. Each living area brings character and livable/ workable space.

The massive beams and corbels and kiva fireplace welcome you to our warm living room bounding with ado.be architecture. A dining room is adjacent to the living space and is perfect for an intimate dinner party or a holiday meal with family and friends. The ceilings are classic latillas and beams.

In addition to the formal living and dining room, there is a sweet banco kitchen area with a table for seated meals, as well as an adjacent work space. The laundry room is centrally located off the kitchen in the main house, with a separate laundry in the casita. And, the adjacent galley kitchen has all the cook will need with a gas stove and the cabinets are traditional tin finish and are complimented with flagstone floors and southwestern flair. 

The Kiva Room library is off the living room-it is a cozy and special spot to listen to music, enjoy a glass of wine at the wet bar, watch a movie with the family, or select a book from the library.

The Master Suite offers a king bed, kiva fireplace, fabulous bath with natural rock formations surrounding a deep spa tub, steam shower, double sinks, and a sauna. From the master suite, you will find a hidden gem patio/pergola including a hot tub and plunging cold-water tub with spectacular views of the Jemez and Badlands as well as the Sangre de Cristos.

The second master suite is perched upstairs, and the views can take your breath away. Here you will find another king with full bath, hardwood floors and a small off-suite deck with views of Santa Fe's Eastern ·Mountains, for a quiet morning coffee, or evening cocktail.

Through the garage, you will find bedroom suite #3 with another king bed, bath, and mini kitchen. This suite has a private access to the exterior of the house, in case you need a space for late-night guests, assistant, or nanny. This room also has good accessibility for any guest who wishes to limit use of stairs.

In addition to the third bedroom suite is a quiet, contemplative mediation, yoga or workout room with sofa bed and outdoor access.

As if this magical space is not enough, there is a separate casita with amazing views of our Sangre de Cristo range. It's a cozy casita with full bath, mini kitchen, laundry and queen size bed. Enjoy the view and the kiva fireplace or watch the sunrise from the private portal with the best views imaginable.

Stay for a few days or a few months. This grand property will accommodate your small, well-behaved dog but due to family allergies, no felines please. The two car garage is off limits to any vehicles. No parties allowed. This home is not ADA accessible.

    This home is a vacation by itself. I could have spent every day drinking coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon on the patio. The porch is the best we have ever enjoyed. The views are stunning 24/7. The rooms, linens, and layout of the house made it so easy for two couples and three pre teens. I would come back in a heartbeat.

    The communication between Adobe Destinations, VRBO and guests was poor and needs significant improvement. Emails and phone messages went unanswered for days. Before check-in, I was mistakenly told guests had to check in at the Adobe Destinations office in Santa Fe.We were given an after-hours (past 10:00 p.m.) gate code to the development in our check-in text message. However, it was outdated and incorrect, confirmed by the daytime security guard the morning following our incident.Returning late from dinner, we couldn't enter the gate despite multiple attempts. The emergency number of Adobe Destinations was unhelpful, providing the same wrong code. Our only option was to climb around the gate and hike to the house to get a car to trigger the gate to open from the inside.Two with mobility issues stayed behind while the rest,all over 70, carefully navigated a narrow railroad tie to avoid slipping down the adjacent concrete embankment. In the dark and cold dressed in restaurant clothes, we hiked nearly half a mile uphill on a gravel road to the house, drove a car back down to open the gate, and let the other vehicle in.When told of this, the response from Adobe Destinations was simply to send me the correct code the next day. I expected better service from a luxury property. This was a serious oversight, and their dismissive attitude was disappointing. The homeowner deserves better, and I will not book or recommend properties managed by Adobe Destinations.

    The property exceeded our expectations with grand common areas, fully stocked kitchen, and large private areas for each of the four couples. We enjoyed each night spending many hours int he hot tub and barbecuing while watching the sunset not he patio. We had special moments just sitting and watching the sunset not he patio. It was a first time family trip and everyone was so happy and excited about our accommodations and nearby attractions that they are already talking about doing it again next year. thank you for sharing Starry Night at the Opera with us. A new memory for a very special group of people!!
