Spring Break in Vilano Beach, St. Augustine with awesome Sunsets

Excellent host and the house was spotless. Very nice view of a marsh area looking toward the intracoastal. Great place to view the sunsets. Very comfy beds with very nice linens and lots of nice quality pillows. Such a nice screened porch area with a view of the marsh area. We actually ate our meals out there each night.

This was a perfect stay for my family. Plenty of room for 5 of us to sleep comfortably! We were able to enjoy views from back porch and front porch! Very relaxing! The host is great at communicating. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family had such a wonderful time with enough room to gather together and make great memories together, but enough privacy to rest and decompress as well. Great views of both beach sunrises from the front balcony and sailboats gliding on the river at sunset from the large rear screened porch. Great location: less than one minute to either beachfront or riverfront dining and five minutes to historic downtown St. Augustine. The beach access is across the Coastal Highway, which iwas easy enough for our 4 adults 50-72. Families with children might prefer the nearby public beach access points less than a 2 minute drive north or south if crossing the highway is a concern. We really loved the very quiet beach stretch our access led to—-maybe only 10 other umbrellas in sight yet beaches appeared to be well-patrolled by the county so we felt safe. Seeing Vilano in the rear view mirror was the only downside…until we meet again

Carla and Tim were wonderful hosts and highly responsive with communication. You can tell they genuinely care and want this VRBO to be one of the best and are continuing to make improvements to the house and property to make it that way. The house has everything we needed and more, as we cooked a lot of meals at the house. The new grill was an awesome find! We didn’t even need to bring any of our own beach toys, as there were lots in the wagon they provided in the garage. It was fun for our youngest to play in the sand at the house too! There were also numerous boogie boards, skim boards, floats and even a nice beach “blanket” and lots of nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs that seemed new. They provided dish soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, ziploc bags, etc. Plus Publix is just an easy 5 minute drive down the road. There is a cabinet with games, which we never used, as our weather was perfect and we were outside as much as we could be. The beach is super easy to get to across the street, you just need to be patient with crossing A1A, as most cars won’t stop for you. We held on tight to the hand of our youngest for that part, but was worth it bc it felt like we had our own private beach when there. We loved the sunset views off the back screened in porch deck area. The sofas and beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels, sheets and extra blankets provided. We rented wave runners from Beaches Marina that’s right by Publix and that was a highlight of the trip.

The place was exactly as described and they went above and beyond to make us welcome .. no complaints at all. hope to rent here again!

What a great place to stay for a two week escape from the cold RI winter! You simply can not beat the gorgeous views of ocean and marsh! We loved the big screened porch on the marsh side for coffee and cocktails. Or for an afternoon nap! The bird life in the marsh is wonderful. So many species. The location of the home is perfect for fun trips into St Augustine and then come home to the more laid back Vilano Beach. House is well equipped and the artwork is lovely. We would stay again!

My family stayed at this location for a week. The setup is great and the views are wonderful. Loved having the fire pit to cook smores. The beach access is close, but due to the higher speeds of vehicles and no sidewalk, we chose to drive a minute down the road to public parking.

Our family had an amazing time! Everything we needed was right at our fingertips to make a Thanksgiving feast for 6. The views, the amenities and the host’s hospitality was top notch. We will definitely be staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay in Vilano. We come 2-3 times a year and this was definitely one of the better rentals that we have stayed in. Loved the coastal and marsh views. So peaceful and private with plenty of room for everyone. Thank you Carla for sharing your lovely home with us. We will definitely be back!
