Spot O'Sun 289: Dog-Friendly, Oceanside home steps from beach!

This little house was perfect for us and our 4 kids. It had everything we could have asked for. Hope to book this house again.

This house is bathed in fun colors and has a wonderfully beach-y feel. It is very close to the beach and has nice amenities just down the street, with coffee shops, fish markets, a grocery store, and some shopping within 10 minutes or less driving. There are walking/biking paths along the main road so if you do want to take a walk/run/ride you could. While we were staying here the ac went out but VACASA was very prompt about sending someone out to diagnose and fix the issue. The house came well equipped with plenty of pots and pans, towels, blankets, and assorted beach items for use. The under-porch (you’ll see from the pictures) was a great place to cool off and feel the breeze but there were some rusty nails in the pebbles which I picked up and disposed of, maybe do a quick scan before walking around barefoot down there. The foot washing station was great and saved on mess in the house.

Cozy and clean, steps to the beach, this little cottage had all the essentials to enjoy my vacation. Best of all my pups were welcome.

It was a perfect beach house with lots of bright colors. Having the outdoor faucet to clean off the sand and the sunroom to leave sandy shoes was extremely helpful to keep the sand out of the house. I noticed other reviews said the beach was far away. We thought it was a perfectly normal distance. For those with mobility limitations it would pose a challenge though. The check in/out process was easy. Having the laundry onsite was a huge help. Overall a wonderful family getaway!

It was fine, it met my needs it had the basic things. I did not like the beach access , I have to say having a wagon full of a cooler and chairs was very difficult to walk up the stairs with to take to the beach. There needs to be a wheelchair ramp. The beach was hard to walk on with the incline and slope. This town is full of Yankees every license plate was from the North.

A comfortable home for two adults and a dog. The enclosed porch area was an added bonus. The home is decorated with a beach theme, bright and happy colors, and the wall decorations are interesting.There is public access to the beach, but it is a bit of a long walk up the stairs and over two sets of dunes. A central location in Avon and convenient to the shopping area.

Spot O’Sun was small and cozy but perfect for two and two small fur babies. It provided anything you would need for a getaway. Our favorite part was probably the darling screen porch!

It was a cozy little house just big enough for our small family. Our kids loved the bunk beds.

The place was a perfect fit for me and my three kids. It is the definition of a beach house. The sun porch was my favorite place to have coffee and meals, and to just chill. I loved hanging out under the house in the evenings. Short walk to the beach and the path the the beach isn't as bad as some of the other paths...much easier walk. I loved that it was also one level.

This was our 4th stay in Spot o Sun it is a beautiful home. It is well maintained and has everything in it that you need and then some. We spend most of our time on the enclosed porch. We love the new bar area that was added between the house and enclosed porch. Just a short walk to the beach.
