Stayed Jun 12, 2026This Historic Parsonage Home is a beautiful old home, with hardwood floors, a lovely staircase and tastefully decorated! Katie and Joe were great hosts, even leaving us pastries for breakfast, much appreciated! especially with our late arrival. We blew a fuse Sunday morning - not unusual for an old historic home - and Joe was there within minutes to fix it. I would highly recommend the Historical Home for anyone wanting to stay in the Indiana Dunes area, just on the edge of the National Park and an easy drive to gorgeous hiking areas and several beaches. The home was just down the block from an outlet shopping area, and a few blocks walk to the Michigan City Beach. Also close to some quaint restaurants, and shops. We loved having 4 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, and 5 separate beds with none being bunkbeds. Perfect for our 5 girlfriends' getaway! Best part of the house was the enclosed sunroom, perfect for enjoying morning breakfast.

Stayed Oct 24, 2025Wonderful property and host. Close to lots of things downtown. Beautiful walk to Lake Michigan and breweries. Each room has its own bathroom which made it a great place to stay with friends. Welcome touches and quick response from host were the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed Aug 8, 2025The check in was nice and easy. We checked in early and went to Washington Beach for the day. We took a ride to the Heston Steam Engine Museum and rode the steam engine. Ate lunch at Redamark in New Buffalo, Michigan. Great food. A little crowded on a Saturday. Then went to Sheridan Beach for the day. Another great beach day. Some did a little shopping at the Outlet Mall and spent another day at Washington Beach. Both beaches are nice but they do get crowded. The home is fully equipped with whatever you need. Great stay.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025Thoroughly enjoyed our stay- amazing historic home in a great location. We were there for a family reunion and The Paraonage was close to everything we did. House was so clean, comfortable, well stocked, and had a toy closet that our 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed. Lakeshore coffee house and Chickpea Mediterranean restaurant were just down the alley. Both excellent and we highly recommend. Katie was great and easy to work with. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed Jul 19, 2025We had such a wonderful stay in this charming historic home right in the heart of Michigan City! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how warm, clean, peaceful, and welcoming everything felt. The house is full of character and history, yet thoughtfully updated to feel incredibly cozy and comfortable. Every detail, from the beautifully maintained decor to the spotless rooms, made it feel like a true home away from home for our entire family (5kids ranging from 14yo to 9mo). You can tell the owners have poured love and care into every inch of this property. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and make memories. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jul 11, 2025Amazingly convenient location in multiple ways. Short trip to New Buffalo train station and ample free street parking made it easy for our family from Madison, Chicago, and Ann Arbor to meet. Once we arrived, we could walk to beach, many restaurants, and outlet mall easily. Also a quick commute to see the White Sox play.

Stayed May 23, 2025I cannot give 10 stars or I would. Katie was a dream...flexible, communicative and beyond friendly. We stayed with family to be close to our daughter's wedding venue, Friendship Botanic Gardens. If I had more time at the moment I would write more, all praise for the wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, warm and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay!

Stayed Oct 4, 2024My bridal party and I stayed at the property over my wedding weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful, and the listing photos do not do it justice! The house is so spacious and was perfect for us to spread out while getting hair and makeup done and still have plenty of room to sit around and hang out. When we arrived the dining room was set up beautifully with flowers and homemade cookies that were just wonderful. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Katie was so responsive during the check in/out process and even gave us a lovely nearby coffee recommendation. I can’t wait for another chance to stay here again!
