Hampton Palm was perfect!! 2 couples stayed a long weekend. Very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!!
We definitely enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable and very much like the photos. No surprises there. While the location is not King St, It was perfect for us as my nieces house is near by. You do need a car, however there we lots of fun little coffee shops in the area and also good options near by to grab a quick bite to eat or a cocktail!
This was a perfect place for our annual girls weekend! We had a group of 5 women. Even though we ate out most meals, the kitchen was very well stocked. It was comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The host was on site and very welcoming! Highly recommend staying here as it was close proximity to restaurants (Harold’s was awesome!) and a short Uber ride downtown. The Citadel is within walking distance with a gorgeous park nearby.
I brought my aunt and sister with me to visit Charleston and have a fun weekend, this house made our trip so much better. It is in a great neighborhood and was so beautiful inside. We each had our own bedroom and the two bathrooms were nice sized. We took full advantage of the backyard and fire pit table. It was very quiet and the beds very comfortable. Would recommend this house to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable time!!! Also to note the property manager was readily available and the check out process did not ask us to do too much which is very welcoming.
We absolutely loved this property. It's within walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to visit, very close to the airport, and in a quiet neighborhood. The house is a wonderful size with plenty of conversation spaces to catch up with family and friends. Would absolutely book again.
We really enjoyed our first trip to Charleston in this cute home. Quiet neighborhood but short distance to shopping and restaurants downtown. There were a lot of nice touches in this beautifully decorated home, games to play, a binder full of tips for things to do and places to go in Charleston, white noise machines to sleep well, a beautiful backyard area, etc. The house had everything we needed for our stay (kitchen utensils, towels, toiletries, etc). Highly recommend this host and would definitely stay here again!
Nancy was great to work with and the property exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and more spacious than the pictures made it seem.
This was the perfect landing spot for our 3 days in Charleston. The house is adorable, very updated, beauiful bathrooms and sleek decor. Getting in on arrival was simple and the neighborhood is quiet. Lovely, lovely home was plenty of room for my family of 5. Thank you Nancy.
My group (5 women, 30 years and up) had a great time at this VRBO. The pictures and description are extremely accurate. It was a very comfortable place to stay and the hosts have thought of nearly everything from power strips or outlets close to the beds for charging to hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels and mirrors in the bathrooms and bedrooms to get ready. If I ever get to return to Charleston I will be booking this VRBO again.
We arrived at The Hampton Palm equipped with dishwashing liquid, paper towels, laundry detergent, a hair dryer, and a white noise machine only to discover that the property owner had provided all those amenities and more for our use! It soon became apparent that a tremendous amount of thought, care, and attention to detail had gone into outfitting the property. We road weary and hungry travelers discovered granola bars in the kitchen; body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers; laundry detergent next to the state of the art stacked washer and dryer; coffee and tea in the cupboards; and, for the tea drinkers in our group, an electric kettle! We senior travelers did note the lack of grab bars in the showers, but we were not concerned. The hall tub/shower combo had a large non-slip mat, and the walk-in shower off the main bedroom had non-slip floor tiles. Forrest, the property manager, lives on site in the second floor unit, and he is a gem! He was extremely responsive to our questions and concerns during our stay. We were in town for the Spoleto Festival and therefore had little time to fully explore the charming early 20th century neighborhood in which The Hampton Palm is located. However, we did enjoy a light supper at the nearby Harold's Cabin and can recommend it to other guests. We can also recommend The Hampton Palm to other guests as it well deserves its high rating.
This property worked great for a group of friends and would also work well for a family. Several things were within walking distance and the main area of shops/restaurants was a very short drive away.
My friends and I spent a long weekend in Charleston (girls trip!) and The Hampton Palm was the perfect spot for us. We all slept comfortably in the three bedrooms and had ample space to get ready in the two bathrooms. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the appliances and tools we needed for dining in. The washer and dryer came in very handy for us as well. We were able to enjoy breakfast around the dining table and drinks around the outdoor fire table on the patio. The front porch was perfect for enjoying our morning cups of coffee. Since the weather during our trip was both very hot and quite chilly, we appreciated the extra blankets (and pillows) available to us. We had everything we needed. This house is also a great location. It's not far from the famous Rodney Scott Barbeque, and is just a short Uber ride to King St and East Bay St. Nancy and Forrest were awesome as hosts. They answered all of our questions, provided us with suggestions, and were willing to accommodate some of wonky travel plans. We also appreciated the house rules and guide book on property, which answered all of our questions about how to operate certain amenities. I would also like to point out that the listing is very accurate - what you see is what you get. I've stayed at some properties where the photos paint a shinier picture than what you sometimes get. Not here - everything was as pristine as it looks in the photos. Would highly recommend this property!
Property was perfect for our getaway! Easy access to downtown but away from the crowds. Restaurants and food stores near by. Property in excellent condition with all the amenities needed. We loved the outdoor courtyard and fire pit for a relaxing evening!
This house was perfect for our family girls trip. Quick drive downtown, the house was clean and had everything we needed.
Everything was perfect. Super property. Loved it.
We had a lovely time and appreciated the spaciousness, cleanliness and Charleston eclectic feel of the property. Owner communication was great and appreciated the suggestions on places to eat and things to do.
As a Citadel parent, I couldn't be more pleased with the location of this rental on a quiet street. The house is a lovely ten minute walk to campus. Six adults can comfortably relax inside. The linens and sheets were of excellent quality and the kitchen is stocked with more than just the basics. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and in the beautiful back yard. Nancy and Forrest were quick to respond to my questions before arriving and lovely to work with. We hope this house will be available for future visits to Charleston.
Great property. Looks just like the photos and better! Loved the updated bathrooms and the fact that many essential items were provided such as TP and soaps, etc. Not tons of places in walking distance so a car is a good idea but the walkable restaurants were really good…we hit Berkeley’s twice! We have family that lives in Charleston so this place was a perfect home base for us.
