Spacious Waterfront House on North Pender Island

This pet friendly family cottage is wonderful. Spacious and comfortable, with ample seating for reading, playing board games, and sitting by the fire on rainy nights. It is thoughtfully designed with an open concept, so there are sparkling ocean views from the kitchen, dining and living areas as well as two of the three bedrooms.The kitchen is well equipped and very functional. Pots, pans, cutlery and dishes are plentiful and of good quality. It was a pleasure to make meals in this kitchen!The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is crisp, clean, and inviting. Morning coffee on the deck with the bird song, calm waters and a sheltering arbutus tree was a highlight! An exceptional property perfect for family gatherings.

Our second stay at this beautiful property. It is such a comfortable house, and so well stocked with everything you need. We will go back again next year for what is becoming an annual December trip. Everything in the house is such good quality-the knives are sharp and the pots and pans are good quality. It’s a beautiful spot and just a cozy place to come back to after exploring Pender Island.

We had a fantastic stay on Pender Island. The location was very convenient for the grocery store and several restaurants / liquor store etc. The view from the living room was idyllic and it just made the trip so much more special. We received a notification that the property was ready for occupancy earlier than planned and this was very welcome as we had 2 infants who were due to have a nap and it was really nice to have the ability to drive straight from the ferry to the property.

Second stay here. House was clean, very well provisioned and spacious with awesome views over the water. Relaxing deck and excellent kayaking. Owners are very responsive and helpful.

Spectacular house - even better than the pictures and the description. We were impressed by how clean and well-maintained the house was. It was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Of note was the comfortable beds with fresh linens and an overall peaceful atmosphere. If you are looking for a spotlessly clean house, tranquility and a roomy place for your family, this is a fantastic choice.

Awesome place, well stocked, great patio and view, nice bedding. Loved being able to walk down to the water. Enjoyed going for a swim in the ocean.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rawlings Retreat! The space is wonderful -- clean, spacious, and a great mix of original mid-century modern features and updated spaces. Such a great place to stay! We spent so much of our time on the deck -- such an amazing view! This was a great place to stay while enjoying Pender, warmly recommended. :)

This vacation rental was even better than the photos and so very comfortable and welcoming! It has clearly been recently updated with tasteful and fitting renovations but it also maintains everything possible from the past to make it feels like a true home away from home. The view from almost every room was amazing and deck was so comfortable for all times of day!

What a wonderful getaway for families! It is in an excellent location, near to lots of activities but also on a secluded piece of property. The house itself is very well-maintained with new appliances, cute decor and plenty of little touches that make it feel like home. We recommend it highly especially for families with kids. We hope to come back before too long!

Fantastic spot to stay on pender island, and perfect for families or groups alike. A tonne of games provided, beautiful deck, properly stocked kitchen ie tupperware to store you cooked food, oil and vinegar for cooking salt and pepper etc. We really enjoyed our stay on the property overall and will be booking again in the future!

The property fit our needs perfectly. We are a family with two adult kids and their partners that appreciated the available space over two floors plus the large comfy beds in the 3 bedrooms. Although the Island is nice and quiet like we wanted, the property is also close to a grocery (and liquor) store plus a few other shops and is walking distance from a cidery and vineyard. It is also on a cove and ideal for a quick dip. A wonderful and relaxing time. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

It is beautiful and peaceful on Pender. The house had everything we needed and you could tell they really tried to make it comfortable for guest (nice beds and linens, thoughtful hooks for items, good labeling of switches, etc.). We had excellent Wi-Fi. They gave us detailed instructions on how to reach the island—which was vital because we were new to ferry-planning! We highly recommend this property. We kayaked (seals! Otters! Sea stars!) and hiked and went to the winery and cidery. We enjoyed the local restaurants, and the grocery store is impressive.

As we liked our stay in summer 2023 very much, we came back for another stay in June, 2025. Things were as good as last time. My only suggestion for improvement is to add some USB ports to help people charge their phones/tablets/laptops in the bed room and near the dinner table.

Absolutely love this cozy home! Great location, lovely decor, you want for nothing. Very well stocked. Quiet, serene, restful place. Needed the solitude and got it. Three of us stayed two nights. Very well equipped kitchen, bath, laundry, games. 2 huge entertaining area and three huge bedrooms and a beautiful deck. Loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Rawling’s Retreat. Small but very thoughtful touches made our stay even more enjoyable - condiments and basic kitchen ingredients already in fridge/cupboards, cozy warm deck blankets, filled propane heater and BBQ. Highly recommend!

This gorgeous house is most definitely a retreat. Beautiful views of the ocean and deer in the front yard every day. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked, including a coffee pot, along with a Keurig. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my wife's 50th birthday.

We fell in love with this property the minute we walked through the front door. We had our dogs with us and this property was everything we could ask for and more. Although the yard is not fenced, it is a large property to explore on leash with stairs right down to the beach. The deck is beautiful and spacious overlooking the ocean and large enough for the dogs to play on while being safely contained. There were so many thoughtful touches that made this a cozy home away from home. We would love to come back again and share it with our family. It was the perfect getaway!

This property is on a lovely quiet part of Pender Island that is easy to access and not far from all things to do on the island. What stood out the most is the home is well cared for, stocked with quality items and you get the impression that the owners want you to have a good experience all around. Beds were comfortable, home was warm and had everything we needed. Would come back again!

This property was remarkable in many ways. The house itself was clean and very well organized. The view was postcard perfect. There was obvious care and attention to providing all the miscellaneous bits and bobs that any guest may need. Would stay again in a heart beat!

As some have mentioned, the photos don’t quite do justice. You get a beautiful view from the living room and dining area. Real fireplace also adds another layer of comfort. Would stay again!

This house is an absolute gem. It was a warm and cozy stay on a December weekend. Comfortably slept 6 adults. The house is very well stocked, especially the kitchen. I brought a few kitchen implements I worried might not be there but didn’t need to. Part way through the stay we messaged the host to ask a question and got an immediate reply. Beds were very comfortable, view was gorgeous and it was just a very lovely place to stay. We look forward to staying there again!

Two couples, old friends, thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Pender Island and this beautiful and comfortable home. It is well appointed and furnished. Art and novel lighting everywhere. Comfortable beds, spotless bathrooms, visiting wildlife, forest view.

We were on Pender Island for a family wedding. We needed a place that would accommodate dogs. We were able to have our oldest daughter and her family with the grandkids visit us at the house but they had their own accommodations. It was great, there were kid friendly games and space to relax and visit while we waited for the wedding to begin. The house is beautiful and the views spectacular. Our dog loved watching the boats come and go, which was very amusing to us. The house was warm and inviting and had all the things we needed. This was my first experience using a service like this and I would do this again. We are thinking of coming back with family again. Great experience!

We had a wonderful time at the VRBO. It has amazing views of the sea, lots of space and it's location to the shops and restaurants was ideal. Highly recommend

The property is as discribed and better. Swimmimg in the ocean right off the property was a treat. We paddleboarded accross the water to the spit and down to the restaurant in 25min. Highly recomend.

My family loved this place! It was quiet and peaceful with a gorgeous ocean view. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and lots of space for 5 of us to sleep comfortably. The kids loved searching for crabs down by the water and looking for seals poking their heads out. My daughter has already requested to come back again.

The views are amazing and the house had everything we needed for ourselves and two little kids (4&2). Adults slept downstairs and used the downstairs living room after bedtime and our toddler used the enormous bed in the master bedroom with success (having previously only used a lower bed with rails). All in all very comfortable and spacious, and the kids loved watching boats go by while they had breakfast.

What an amazing property! The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the space was even better than described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions. The host was very accommodating with our requests. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Had such a lovely time at the Rawlings' cabin. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Beautiful patio, well-stocked kitchen (hard to find in vacation rentals I find!), and responsive hosts. They were kind enough to offer us a late check-out on our last day which was a huge help.

My husband and I and our two adult children with their spouses stayed here for a weekend wedding we were attending. We love the peacefulness and ample room on this property. We had more than enough room to get ready for event and it was wonderful space to come home to. Everything so Kyle thing we could have wanted was at our fingertips. Highly recommend

As others have said, the photos don't do justice to this property. The home is beautifully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable with an extremely well-equipped kitchen and high-end appliances. We spent many hours enjoying the gorgeous deck and view and particularly appreciated the comfortable seating area, gas fire, and cozy blankets. The owner and property manager were very accommodating and quick to respond to enquiries - so all round it was a great find and highly recommended!
