Spacious Valley Junction Retreat

Our host, Derek, was great and in constant readiness for any questions. The home was perfect for our mixed group of adults, kids, and the dog. Location was perfect for nearby activities and places to eat, shop, etc. We highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay.

Good location, clean

The kitchen was amazing. Had everything we needed. The game room was amazing and my whole family enjoyed it. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and communication was amazing

The home is lovely, the location perfect. The house is well-equipped and the beds are comfy. Low archways and stairway ceilings were tough on the tallest of us, but we enjoyed our stay in this home thoroughly.

We enjoyed our stay. They have done a good job getting the most out of a smaller footprint adding an upstairs apartment bedroom area. Would suggest an update to the deck area in back, but Very clean, comfortable beds and host was easy to work with.

Its in a great neighborhood and get anywhere in 15 min. Great patio for dining outside and Valley Junction is great area. We enjoyed ourselves

Property was just as described. Beautiful home with character! Conveniently located to West Des Moines and downtown historic Valley Junction, a quaint shopping village with coffee shops and eateries. Gameroom in basement was a hit with my niece and nephew. Fenced in back yard was wonderful for my pup who was on her first road trip. Felt like home away from home!

Had a combination of work and leisure in Des Moines. Location was great and management friendly.

We had another great stay at Valley Junction Retreat! It's a wonderful home in a great neighborhood, just a couple blocks from downtown Valley Junction. We love to just wander down for a bit of shopping, drinks or dinner. We also love this for our dogs. With a fully fenced back yard, patio doors and an amazing deck, it's so easy to wander outside with them! They love coming here, even in the winter!

We loved everything about this awesome home! We were staying for two weeks to see a specialist for our little one, and wanted a place that felt at home. A 17 hour car, two day, ride later we arrived and immediately felt at home. The home was just as pictured, host was super responsive, and we were close to everything from the house. Highly recommend this home and host if you ever need anywhere to stay in Des Moines!

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and comfortable for us, even our two dogs! The back yard is nicely fenced, allowing our dogs to have freedom to roam outside. It also has a great deck to enjoy time outside.

Check in was a breeze, manager was responsive, home was clean, game room in the basement was a fun addition. Would recommend the home.

Family of six, kids age range 10-18. Did a little DSM weekend getaway. Quiet neighborhood, not far from Interstate. House well stocked with items like towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, extra blankets, kitchen supplies, fun stuff to pass time in basement. Fyi - it's a great old home, but the floors are very squeaky in spots. If you have light sleepers, could be a problem. We'd stay here again if need be.

My husband and I and 2 adult cousins met in Des Moines to celebrate a big birthday for a relative. It was great having this delightful home to stay at during our visit. Very Clean and nicely decorated. Had wonderful furnishings - we wanted for nothing! We did not use all of the wonderful options - rec room, washer/dryer etc. It was great. Beautiful view out kitchen window of Iowa's wonderful Fall Color.

The home was very well maintained with all of our needs accounted for such as 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, nice living room, great kitchen, outdoor porch and laundry area. Bonus points for a play space in the basement that our 4 year old grandson loved! Loved the location; convenient to Everthing! Hosts thought of every need and fully accommodated us!

Cute place in an ideal location to walk to shops and restaurants. Host was easy to communicate with and everything was very clean.
