14. Pay a refundable grill cleanliness deposit before access to grill will be granted.
15. Review the home honestly, fairly, and appropriately. Your review should reflect the cleanliness/neatness of THIS HOME, and whether it conforms to the photos and description in this listing. It should NOT penalize the homeowner for things that are out of his control and unrelated to the home, such as Big Canoe roads and amenities, the weather, power and internet outages, accidents or injuries, and minor maintenance issues that do not impact the stay. It should also not criticize the house rules, which were presented to the guest and agreed BEFORE BOOKING. Placing responsibility for these things on the host, or ignoring/circumventing his house rules, is unacceptable. If this is your inclination, I would prefer that you select an alternate property.
Payment: 50% at booking, balance 30 days before arrival. Cancellations: full refund of amount paid if cancelled 60 days before arrival date.
The Big Canoe property was amazing , it met all of our families needs, and even exceeded a few. This is definitely a five star property, That is Located in such a picturesque setting, my family can’t wait to go back!
Did the trick as home for 6 weeks.
I spent a long weekend here with some friends and enjoyed it. Plenty of space and good amenities at a very reasonable price. A couple minor things to be aware of: - The refrigerator water dispenser is pretty slow. May want to bring your own water. - The master bedroom has big windows and a great view, but also decorative curtains and is somewhat east facing. May want to bring a sleep mask.
Wonderful stay in Big Canoe. The home was immaculate and a perfect size for our family. We cooked dinner each night in the amazing kitchen. Definitely a mountain feel with all the amenities you would want close by. Even saw a bear walking up the road in front of the house.
The house was beautiful and well maintained. Nice welcoming gift awaited us. Would highly recommend!
Our family loved our stay at this property and can't wait to book a return trip!
my wife and i hosted our daughter and two grands for a wonderful holiday at big canoe everyone enjoyed the clean/comfortable accommodations, privacy of setting - although obviously need to plan a few extra minutes to get to/from the main recreational facilities, beautiful views of mountain scenery from nearly every room, soothing sound of the stream along the rear of house, games and play tables provided by owner, numerous recreational activities (for all ages) provided throughout the resort community - including the opportunity to walk from the house to the extensive network of trails through the conservation areas (a bit steep access - but possible for those of ages ranging from 5-yo to 73-yo), and the effort the owner has taken to assure that the property is well maintained and fully functional everyone seemed to sleep very well - safe and peaceful surroundings, clean air, outdoor activities, and comfortable beds access roads to the property were well maintained, directions provided by owner were easy to follow, and maps provided by guard house at check-in were accurate and helpful the grands particularly loved the heated in-door pool at the community recr center (extra charge), the playground area, and the easy/medium trails through the conservation area (especially bridge crossings of streams and historic cabin) weren't able to find time to golf or boat or dine at the clubhouse this trip grands were asking (as we departed) when we'll be return to this property
Words or pictures do not begin to describe this house or Big Canoe. Kevin was an excellent host and even took time to show us one of his additional property’s in Big Canoe. He was an excellent communicator and answered all of our questions prior to arrival. The house is very spacious and while we spent most of the day together the space came in handy at night when everyone wanted their own space for quiet time. Our kids enjoyed the entertainment rooms and the view from both balconies is beautiful. This was our first trip to Big Canoe and certainly will not be our last
Wonderful property! Hard long drive up mountain.
Galt’s Gulch is a beautiful home in a beautiful location surrounded by nature! Kevin is a wonderful host and a great communicator! Believe the listing when it says the roads are steep and curvy, because they are! But the scenery is worth it! Great vacation!
Our group of 6 adults and 4 children thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Galt’s Gulch. If you are looking for someplace in the mountains to get away from today’s noisy world this is the place for you. Go out to either deck any time of day to hear the stream running past the house. There is so much to do in the house with the pool table, table tennis, air hockey, and foosball tables that the televisions were not turned on the entire time we were there. We had 3 teenage video gamers in our group too so that is saying a lot. As a matter of fact they went on a hike from the house to climb up to 3,500 feet. The house was very comfortable for our group and we never felt as if were on top of each other. The house had everything you need so that all you have to worry about is your food. Loved the gas range and grill. You can tell Kevin, the owner, has put some serious thought into making you feel as if you are getting away from it all, including the artwork and library. You can also tell he puts great care into his home. We really appreciated that. If we ever find ourselves in Big Canoe again would love to stay at Galt's Gulch again.
It was no hassles.
Stayed in Big Canoe GA for a week with my wife kids, sister, niece and nephew. The house was amazing, Kevin is a great host very kind and responsive gives a lot of detailed instructions and information. The community is amazing and has great amenities such as golf course, pool and lake with beach
