Spacious Rockaway Beach Oceanfront with King Suite, Panoramic Views, Hot Tub!

What a beautiful deck and spacious areas! We were so lucky to find this gem. We will be back.

everything was so good. Especially the view and deck. Kitchen stove burner had an issue of clicking before shutting off. The heat did not reach the bottom bedrooms but cooked the upstairs. All in all we had a great time. Do you give a special price for a week in the winter. Loved the hot tub. Dorene

The only thing you’re paying for is the beach view. The house is old and needs a lot of work. Most of the trim, especially on the doors and handrails is chipped. I was going down the stairs and one of the treads broke off. I slammed my tailbone and hit my head on the way down. Had to find some blue painters tape in the house to cover up the nails so my dog and I didn’t step on them. The outdoor furniture was soaking wet. It was a beautiful weekend and because the cushions were soaked sitting outside - before we could begin enjoying the beautiful scenery, we had to find towels and several other things to sit on. There weren’t knobs on one of the closets. The floor is definitely old and in need of repair. And the bathroom ceiling fan upstairs. The only word that comes to my mind is disgusting.

My girlfriends and I do a beach weekend every January and this was a spacious, comfortable house. There were three of us, each with our own rooms and everyone slept well and said the beds were comfortable. Place was pretty clean except for giant dust bunnies hanging in corners. View of the ocean and sound of the waves was a highlight! Beach access is close too. We didn't do any cooking this time so not sure about how stocked the kitchen is. Hot tub was lovely but we had to wait for it to warm up a bit before getting in. My only real gripe is that a 10am checkout is very annoying. We were looking forward to shopping cute shops before heading back home but nothing in the surrounding towns is even open until 11am or later. You'd think a symbiotic relationship between businesses would benefit the whole local economy, but I'm sure plenty of people just head home early when they realize nothing's open. We requested a late checkout...just an hour would have been nice, but were denied even though I could see from the calendar that no one else was coming in until the following weekend. I would stay here again if it weren't for the checkout time. I'll be looking at that detail more closely when booking beach houses this time of year again.

Awesome views, comfy, relaxing

We would seriously consider a repeat visit in the future.Ideal location: 8 blocks north of town, so beach was not crowded. Unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. House is on a small bluff above the beach and it's a short walk to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet. Appreciated the 2nd fridge in the converted garage.A few very minor complaints/observations:On arrival outside garbage can was full, but management team emptyed it within 36 hours.Kitchen was well stocked with the exception of no can opener and inadequate number of kitchen trash bags.Instructions about garbage take out are confusing (Monday vs Thursday). Living room TV instructions were not accurate; you can stream apps on it.Not all 5 TV's had its own remote.BBQ cover is ripped and needs replacement.King bed mattress was too soft for those who slept on it.

Beautiful home with amazing views. Kitchen was well equipped and all the details were well thought out. Very comfortable and wonderful access to the Rockaway beach.

Loved the location of the property, the clean and well maintained hot tub, gas grill and the deck was wonderful with very comfy furniture! We did have some billing issues and linens were not stocked well and the fireplace didn't work however the customer service team responded quickly. Nevertheless we had a great family vacation as always at Rockaway!

Mind you due to the holiday week I think we paid double the normal rate, so I guess I expected it to be ready on time, be cleaned, and be ready for our stay. We got a text 7 minutes before our check in time that we would have to wait an additional 3 hrs due to unforeseen circumstances. Forty minutes later we got a text telling us to go ahead and go in and someone would bring us bed linens and towels. Dirty laundry sat in the entry way! About an hour later two ladies came in and made the beds. They were quick and very kind. The problem is I don’t think anything was cleaned in the house. I picked up a ball of hair from a hairbrush off the bathroom floor, scraped what appeared to be pancake mix off the kitchen cabinets, picked up all the pillows up off the floor in the living room. When I did lay on the comforter in the bedroom my leggings came back with what appeared to be animal fur. They don’t wash the comforters between stays and the one in our room had something orange and crusty. I am so disappointed that I paid double the cost and they just come in and barely do any cleaning, but they expect you to strip the beds, take out all the trash, load and run the dishwasher. So basically they come in and remake the beds and you are charged a cleaning fee. The property itself is in a beautiful location very close to the path down. The kitchen is very nice. The only way in and out that they give is through the garage so that was a little difficult.

The house has a lot of great positives, and the location is great. View could not be better, right on the beach. Hot tub is amazing. We had a few issues, such as the dryer not working and some issues with the TV. Even though you communicated with the property manager, the dryer was never fixed or replaced during our stay, which was frustrating timeliness of communication could have been better.

The property is perfect. Great for a family or friends gathering.

This house is lovely and the view is beautiful. It was very comfortable and cozy. The only thing that could be better was the grill was rusted out and didn't function. Other than that it was perfect!

The house is spacious and in a great spot. Unfortunately I was severely disappointed the fireplace didn’t work and was never resolved with the property manager. This was a key feature for picking this property so difficult to give a great review.

IF the property management company had been on top of things ,then it would have been better. 4 days before we arrived we were told there was an issue with the fireplace and the stove/oven but they were working on it. I reached out before we left to see if things had been fixed and if not, if we could switch houses. I did not get a reply. Upon arrival, I was told they would get back to me but in the mean time that a couple of hot plates and a convection oven had been left for us. That was not the case. Yes, two very cheap convection plates had been left and a TOASTER oven, which was super small was on the counter. The house though is fabulous ! It was clean and had we had a working oven/stove, 5 stars for sure. The main space is upstairs which are all hardwood, so if you have dogs, just know that. We used the provided babygate to keep them in one spot. Location is perfect, the grassy area is awesome. Beds were comfortable. Oh and the oven/stove... turns out they weren't broken-- the house was out of propane. We arrived on Sunday and propane came on Tuesday afternoon. Basic 101 in house management, making sure propane is full for renters. We didn't even know this was the problem until Monday when the person at the Meredith Lodging Mgmt said the propane delivery would be either Monday or Tuesday and that we needed to be present, so that the person could make sure the pilot lights were all working. Zero follow-up on my emails, I had to call them.

No gas for cars cooking in kitchen, bbq didn’t work, cleaner was still at house 45 minutes after we were supposed to check in. Host responded hours after we reached out and did not resolve any issues

This was a perfect winter get-away for us and our parents. The house had everything we needed, and the easy access to the beach was perfect for the long walks we took each day. It is also very close to town, and easily walkable. It is definitely a beach house, so is worn down as such...the grill didn't really work and there are knobs missing in quite a few places, but nothing that hindered our stay...just ask ahead of time if those things will bother you. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the kitchen was really well stocked (a must for us who eat all of our meals at the house). The views are to die for, and trump all. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Let me just say that I’m extremely particular about cleanliness, comfort and value when traveling. How refreshing to find a Place that matched my expectations! The hot tub was hot and it didn’t smell. It was extremely clean for being a pet friendly house and there was zero musty odor, which is rare for a beach! It was well stocked with everything we needed and of course the views were absolutely amazing. We can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely property and peaceful stay.

The home was very clean, well appointed with good kitchen supplies, entertainment options, and comfortable beds. The main living space has a full wall of windows facing the ocean. The location is great, very near the local Rockaway amenities and a short drive to larger coastal towns if needed. A good option for families with several separate entertainment spaces.

We were a party of five with one infant.First, the bad and then the good. We identified several issues upon arrval, including a remote that did not work for the TV, a ripped out screen on the slider, from the deck to the living room, and missing handles to close closets and the shower downnstairs. I sent multiple notes to Meredith Lodging and received a response that somebody would be out, but no one ever showed. Very disappointing. We enjoyed the property itself. A nice fireplace, great deck, well, equipped, kitchen and great location. I would pass on this property due to the property management.

Very comfortable,very roomy and just an overall great vibe. I loved staying here and look forward to staying here again.

Wedding in town, fantastic sunsets and lovely location. Could use an induction stove and better cooking implements. Gas stoves are to hot for the Cheff, and don’t have enough temp control, induction is vastly superior. We never got a can opener.

The view of the ocean from the house was spectacular. The kitchen was great. Not enough dining room seating for everyone to sit down and eat together. Furniture was dowdy.

This place was perfect! Gorgeous views of the ocean, where we were spent our mornings and evenings. The little town of Rockaway Beach is adorable with good food and places to shops just minutes away. Check out Rockaway Big Tree Trailhead…great easy hike. Beds were comfortable and well equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed and more!

Our stay was very comfortable, clean and the home was welcoming. We were a party of 7 and everyone had a place to sleep. Plenty of room to stretch and relax when lounging and playing games or watching a movie. Would stay again and recommend this house/location.
