Spacious Refuge w/ Private Pool & Outdoor Bar!

We had an amazing time on our girls' trip! The house was impeccably clean, well-stocked, and the pool area was a highlight. We're already considering renting it again next year and would highly recommend it for any group.

Although the space and location were what we needed for our family reunion vacation, the AC was not working during some very hot days.

My sisters and I rent a large house in the Vermilion/Sandusky area each year with our parents. This area is in between our four total families’ residences. In all these years, this has been by far the very best experience we have had. Amherst is PERFECT with so much to offer for children of all ages, though truthfully we rarely left the house. It offered absolutely everything we needed for a fully inclusive stay-in experience! Home theater, ping pong table, darts, and games for rainy indoor days and the most incredible outdoor pool/deck/bar area you could ever imagine! Our children of all ages swam sun up to sun down. We gathered on the deck all evening with the fire pit and night swims. The house was immaculate, top to bottom, and the property managers responded immediately if I had any questions. We went to the very local store, grabbed stuff for meals, and never left! It was like a family friendly all inclusive resort. We have already requested to book it for next year. Best experience ever. .

Rating: 1/5 I'm writing this review as a warning to others. Our stay was a disaster. The house had no functional AC, making it unbearably hot (85°F+). Despite repeated calls to the owner, they failed to resolve the issue.. We were even accused of lying about the issue! The property owner's lack of concern for our comfort and safety is appalling. With 18 women in our group, we had nowhere else to go. The owner's solution? Six loud, cheap box fans to circulate hot air. Avoid this property at all costs! The owner's negligence and unprofessionalism made our stay unbearable. We deserve better, and so do you. VRBO, please hold your hosts accountable for providing basic amenities like functional AC. This experience was a nightmare. And VRBO refused to help saying we had to call Evolve the 3rd party who took our money. Worst VRBO experience ever.

We use this location as our annual sisterhood retreat. This home accommodation 14 ladies with room to spare. The home was very clean and well appointed. It was cozy and inviting. The listing accurately depicts it in the pictures. The pool and patio were a popular place to gather. The gas grill was clean and the propane tank was full. The management company was very responsive and detailed. I would stay again. We left reconnected, relaxed and renewed. Thank you

Well, I can’t t really tell you about the stay because my reservation was cancelled two days before my stay. For context , I booked this house almost a year ahead of time for my daughter’s graduation from Oberlin. I wanted something big enough for any family that wanted to come. I knew that the combination of it being Memorial Day weekend and Oberlin Graduation weekend would make it difficult to find rental properties. I was told that the reason for the cancellation was that the water had been shut off because of repairs to the pool. How ever, one of my family members that joined us for the weekend mistakenly used the address in the original email I sent and ended up at this house in Amherst. Imagine their confusion when they were greeted by a guest in swim trunks who had rented the house. (They had been in the backyard swimming in the “inoperable” pool!) I was lucky that I was able to find another property that could accommodate all 12 of us, but it was very distressing both to have it cancelled at the last minute and to find out I was lied to.

This home was absolutely beautiful and had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. We had 5 families from our travel softball team stay here and there was plenty of room. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare our meals at the home before and after games. The front yard was large enough for a wiffle ball game that everyone participated and the back yard was ideal for grilling and relaxing by the fire pit. Plenty of room inside to space out, lots of seating room, plenty of beds for everyone to sleep, and the ping pong table and theatre down stairs was ideal for kids of all ages to enjoy and occupy while the parents enjoyed down time. Highly recommend to anyone traveling in a large group.

I’m an 8th grade basketball coach and this was perfect for our basketball team.

The house was so roomy and clean. Everything you needed was there from beach towels to paper towels which we didn't expect. The outdoor pool and tiki bar along with an awesome swing set were where everyone loved to hang out. Less than 2 miles is a couple blocks with quaint little places to shop and about 10 unique restaurants. About 4 miles away was type of store you could possibly need. Our interaction with the owner was very friendly and helpful. He actually came to the rescue and jumped my car on the last day because of a dead battery. We forgot sandals and a phone which he mailed back to us. You couldn't ask for a better host. I would definitely stay there again. It was one of the best places we ever rented for a getaway!!
