Spacious Key West Conch Cottage with WiFi & Private Hot Tub - Dogs OK

Close to everything and still quiet and peaceful.

We stayed for five nights, everything was great. We had a fantastic time. House sits just one lot away from Hemmingway's house. Duval was approximately 60 feet away, location couldn't have been better. VACASA managed the property and the communication was above expectations. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely traditional Key West home. Original wood floors with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Great amenities provided and located in the heart of all activities right off Duval street. Great location walkable distance to restaurants, bars and entertainment.

I’ll start by saying we had a great time, and the location is right in the heart of Duval St. The house served us well, I’m just trying to give a sense of what you get.The place was clean, but it’s basically a shack. The pictures shown are not how the house is furnished, the pictures look nicer than reality. Keep in mind there is no washer and dryer. You’re on a dirt road, there’s no mats at the entrance, so you track sand and dirt into the house. There is a tree in the neighbors yard that drops tons of seed pods into the back yard. They also drop onto the roof all night long.

This place was everything we expected. Perfect layout and great location right off Duval Street. Good parking and easy access. Place was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay.

I will list the cons first, so you can see why we gave them 2 stars.CONS:- First night of check-in, found a live cockroach in middle bedroom closet. Contacted Vacasa. Man arrived next morning with roach traps and spray.- That morning, went to make breakfast, mouse droppings found in pots, pans, and silverware drawer. Man said he can't do anything until we check-out.- No Dishwasher to clean dishes with mouse feces. Didn't use the kitchen after that.- 2nd night, ants crawling around headboard in same bedroom. Told to use spray and remove food items from room (which there were no food items in any room). Stopped using room at this point.- Found a flea in a bed. Asked to take a picture, but it jumped off the bed before I could squish it.- No Washer/Dryer- Older home so uneven flooring (son stubbed his toe on the entry to first bathroom so be careful)- Do not bring large vehicles (i.e. big trucks/vans) as parking is extremely tight.I sent pictures and video to the management company so they were aware. Stayed 3 nights and was compensated very little for the inconvenience (even though there were 4 adults now forced to eat out all meals, every day we were there). We book VRBOs for the use of the kitchen to save money. Definitely the most disappointing we've ever stayed in.PROS:- Right on Duval street so you can walk to a lot of things- A/C units in each bedroom was nice

The house was okay. Nothing stood out but it worked for what was needed. The challenges began with changes made to the home and it no longer sleeps 8. It now sleeps 6 and could do 7 if an uncomfortable couch is acceptable. We did not revive communication in advance and on day 2 we were finally provided an air mattress which deflated rather quickly. Two people did not have sleeping arrangements and even slept on a lounge chair outside. They have offered a very small refund which we had no say or ability to influence. We requested to at least get a refund for the price of one person and that request was ignored. While they have been somewhat responsive, it was not satisfactorily resolved. Communication seems to be the root issue since they did not communicate about the sleeping capacity change when they made it which was about two months before our trip.

Listing stated a pull out couch to be used as an additional bed, however, there was no such couch causing one person to sleep on a hard couch.

Highly recommend! Great location! Loved the comfortable beds, hot tub, clean, great assistants when had questions or needed help.

Initially the cleaning, bathroom, bedding, linens were good. Clean bathroom fixtures. Clean towels and plentyful. Bedding was clean. The problem was the absolutely filthy carpeting in the bedrooms. Bed #2 the carpet heavily smelled of urine. The smell was nauseous. Bidet drain didn't work. Hot tub needed many repairs, wood falling off the exteriors unsafe. Air conditioner filters not serviced very dirty. Rusty tubs.Very dissatisfied considering the cost.No washer or dryer on property

Nice 3 bedroom 2 bath for 4 women to share. Nice and comfortable. Location was great, just steps from Duval Street. We walked everywhere.

We stayed here for Fantasy Fest and loved it. It was the perfect walking distance to everything and the historic charm of this cottage was perfect.

What an adorable home and a great location in Key West. Great Cottageville wonderful back porch to sit out on and have coffee. Hot tub was awesome to get into after walking all day. Kitchen had a nice big fridge big stove cabinets full of glasses, dishes, silverware. Most of the beds were comfortable, everything was great. Recommended highly.

I loved the fact that you allowed dogs and you didn’t have a 30lb. limit like most places do!! It’s very difficult to find a place that allows larger dogs.

Had a great time. Great location. Doesn’t provide more than one trash bag which was an issue we ran into.

Easy check in. Really like the property. It was clean and comfortable. The location is right off Duvall Street. Minimal clean up required to check out. Would definitely stay here again if I'm back in Key West. Be aware, parking is tight if you are driving mini van or SUV.
