Spacious island getaway with a big pool just steps from the beach!

Loved the house location. Loved the island. Communication was great with hosts. Only minor things that gave us pause: The kids they sent to pick us up need to be trained on how to handle crates and luggage - they were just throwing our stuff on the back of the their trailer and two of our crate lids got broken. We had to step-in and unload and rearrange everything. The house itself - It just needs some TLC. There were tiny bugs in the kitchen all week and a few kiddos got a little rash from the pool (they know it was that because it has happened before in other pools where the chemicals were off) - the chemical balance really needs to be looked into, especially this time of year and people using the pool. The only other thing would be the mosquitoes, they were super bad this week (which we weren’t used to because we normally come in July) so it would have been nice to have some citronella sticks/candles or bug zappers or some other deterrents around the pool and porches. We had bug spray but it wasn’t enough.

This house was great. Close to the water, Clean, stocked with cookware. Rooms are nice. Bottom level room was a nice bonus. Pool was clean and cleaned twice while there (seven days). Two carts are true value!

Spacious, clean house just steps from the beach. We loved that we didn’t even need the gulf cart to bounce back and forth from the beach to our pool.

This house was beautiful! It was complete with everything we needed. Carolina was a great hostess and was immediately attentive to anything we needed during our stay. We would love to return again!

This house and the location were everything we dreamed of and more! Everyone was responsive to needs and addressed issues promptly. I can't say enough good things about this property! We will be back next year!!!

First time to the island and it was great

We had 11 family members stay for an unforgettable trip. My parents, Sister and her family and my family had plenty of space. We had a hard time getting the kids out of the large and perfectly temperature pool the only thing that they liked better than the pool was a ride on the golf carts! The beach was just a few houses down and the shelling and sunsets were amazing. My mom and sister love cooking and they were pleased to find everything you could ever want in the kitchen. We had meals both in the main living space and by the pool and there was plenty of room to eat and sprawl out all our stuff. You could go to the Club pool if you needed some more socializing but we never made it there as the house was so wonderful. The main living area was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The tweens thought it was too cool to go on the roof and hang out under the stars and night. We were worried that hurricanes had left the island feeling desolate but that wasn’t the case at all. The beaches were pristine and of course uncrowded. Everything was green and magical just like we remembered from vacationing there 7 years ago. You do see houses and lots that haven’t rebuilt yet but it was interested more than anything like seeing a bit of the past and what they went through. The staff was quick to text any question or need we had. Manatees, Dolphin, Turtles, Shells, and sunsets all while staying on this unhurried island in an amazing house it will be hard to ever top this memory!!

Everything was perfect

We had a great time and all were delighted to see N Captiva is still there after Ian! The new bathroom downstairs was a great addition, as is the new pool and we enjoyed staying there again.

We had a fabulous experience! The listing says 4 bathrooms, but it's really only 3. That was far outweighed by the large living/dining area, brand new pool, fabulous location, along with an abundance of great beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels. We also enjoyed all the North Captiva nature: manatees, dolphins, shells galore!
